rising_son
Always been in to Mitsu's but this is my first Starion. Never thought I would own one but for the right price I couldn't pass it up. It has tan interior which is in the greatest shape I have ever seen for a car this old. The paint has its issues but the body is in great shape as well. It has 74K miles and a huge hole in the side of the block. I have a 2.0 truck trans and I also have the 2600i bell housing so I figure I'll swap it. I love the 4G63 but who knows. Just thought I'd share a few pics for now. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/jayjr9780/newcar.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/jayjr9780/turboesbadging.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/jayjr9780/g54b.jpg

rising_son
Thanks for the welcome and yes, a 4G63 is my plan but I see from the site that there are many options these days.
QuietQuest
I've always wanted a flatsider with a 4g63 in it. It's a perfect candidate for aftermarket wheels, because you can find a lot that will fit, unlike the widebody where it's hard to find good, cheap wheels that have the right offset. BOHO
If I do a swap I think I'd do a SR20.....Don't know about fitment but would be cool. Good luck.
rising_son
I'm kinda partial to these wheels. They come in black or gold. They are a Maxxim 'Screech' 16x7. I would really like to find the mesh Enkei wheels that came on the anniversary 300ZX. I cant find a pic of them though.http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/jayjr9780/large251153-Black.jpg

rising_son
I think the set was $699 for the 16's. Anyone know which mesh wheels I'm talking about on the Z? A picture or even where I could find a set would be great.
kev
I saw that car on craiglist! Good deal for it. Please please please don't destroy one of the rarest starquests ever made, 84 starion es, by putting in a 4g63!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That car is rare! Even look at a KBB classic car price guide, they value the 84 es starion higher than any year! You have a LSD rear in that car, the VELNAS system, etc etc. kev
rising_son
Actually not the same car. I found this one in an alley in The Dalles for $200 if you can believe that. Heres the one on craigslist for $700. Not familiar with the VELNAS system, what is that? And did this car come with rear ABS because it appears to have it along with cruise, A/C, power windows and mirrors. http://eugene.craigslist.org/car/407804578.html Heres a couple more of my car.http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/jayjr9780/starion1.jpghttp://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i23/jayjr9780/starion2.jpg
83_project_toy
i can help with mesh wheels if you need them but there not for a 300z there from a 78 280 there the rare enkei apache IV's thats most 240 guys seem to want there only 14's tho. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b128/klinkzor/100_0496.jpg us flatty people seem to have more wheel choices for the lug pattern but you'll need spacers. if you want low profile tires you need to drop the thing alittle trust me it looks weird http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b128/klinkzor/sidecar.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b128/klinkzor/100_0042.jpg those are 17's so you might want a taller tire or to lower the car
