  1. You shoud concider doing a steering rack swap while doing the swap. im finishing up my s13 rack in my car, then im swapping in a 6bolt from a talon. In my case i should have no issues with p/s besides making lines.
  2. Damm! I almost got the car, was gonna have Jason ship it to me but he decided to sell it locally=(
  3. Shelby, your best bet is to find someone locally that will charge your unit up. A jug of r22 here in Phoenix is about 400 bucks wholesale. That stuff ain't cheap. Also R409 is a direct drop-in for R12, just can't rember which one, R409a or R409b, in case you ever want to charge a car with r12 up
  4. Well, ended up scoring both motorsets for a killer price. 7 bolt has been rebuilt according to the customer that left it at my buddy's shop. But I'm not betting on it. It dose look like it's had some work done to it to say the least. It has a new timing belt and all the timing marks are lined up. Dose not look like they've ran it yet. I'll be cracking the oil pan off of it tomorrow to take a quick peek. My plan is going to be to use the 7 bolt for fabbing the swap in and build the 6 bolt in the meantime. The 6 bolt came out of a automatic car with low miles. May crack that one open and see what I've got to work with. Worst case, both motors may be bad but I got basically 2 complete motor sets minus ecu and harness for scrap price, the customer couldn't pay his shop bill/didn't have a place to store the cars and gave the motors and cars to my buddy as payment.
  5. I've got a quick question about 4g63s I've got a buddy of mine selling me 2 complete motor sets out of eclipses. First one is a automatic 6 bolt out of a 1990 talon, second one is a 5spd 7 bolt out of a 95 second gen eclipse. My question is would the same bell housing adaptor for a r154 bolt up to both motors, or would I need one the 6 bolt and one for the 7 Only reason I'm asking is id like to drop in the 7 bolt for now, while I build the 6 bolt up.
  6. What website do you guys use to resize images to put them up on here. haven't been on here in quite some time so I don't remember Thank, Nick
  7. Hello guys, me and a buddy of mine have been tossing around the idea of making some aftermarket parts for our cars. We've been kicking this thought around for the past year or so and have decided to test the waters with a small and inexpensive part. Egr block off plates. Small simple and affordable. If there seems to be a decent demand for parts we will start making other parts. Camber plates, roll center adjusters, Mpi trigger wheels and brackets. Anything and everything we can make we will be willing to make. Everything will be made here in the good ol USA, Phoenix to be exact. This will be more of a side gig, we both have full time jobs. My buddy helping me with this runs a local cnc machine shop and as long as it dosen't get in the way of his regular work load he is more than willing to make anything Now for the egr block off plates, they're cnc machined out of 6061 aluminum, polished for the bling effect and fit perfect! The price on these will be 15.00. Going to try to include shipping in prices if it is reasonable but if your intrested in ordering contact me and we will see. Thanks guys! Looking forward to make some nice parts!
  8. Guy was going to sell it to me for 400, then I found out it was in Tucson and bailed, don't have a way of towing it home
  9. Looking for a clean black radio bezel. And aftermarket front camber plates
  10. Looking for a set of front camber plates, let me know what you have. Thanks
  11. Any pics of the coilovers installed, and willing to help with the process of shipping?
  12. What 4g63 block and head are you running?
  13. Also I played with the plug gap today and it made no difference, I took it around the block and car runs great out of boost. If I stab the pedal while I'm driving it will hiccup at about 3500 and won't go past. If I ease it into boost it will go in pretty nicely and won't studder much. Any more ideas?
  14. There's no cone filter, it's a aftermarket pump
  15. Ok guys, having a little bit of an issue with my 86 flatty once again. It's having a hesatation issue when you rev it in neutral and when your driving under a load as well. If your in neutral, I can rev it up as high as I want if I slowly increase the throttle. If I stab the petal to the floor it will start sputtering at different rpms sometimes it will start at 1500 rpm and won't climb past. Sometimes it will be around 3500ish rpm and almost anywhere between. If I rev it agressivly, but not wot, it will studder around 3500ish rpm. Now for the issue under load. If I drive it gently and out of boost it runs fine under 3k rpm. Sometimes I can get past 3k rpm if I ease into it. But if I attempt to get past 3k or get into boost the car will let out a huge pop/backfire and will not go past it. I've spent all day troubleshooting it and I can't seem to get it fixed. Today I reset the tps, changed the vac advance, checked all my vac lines, checked/set my timing at 10btdc, the car has a new fuel pump, filters, new cap and rotor, coil, wires, good knock box, had both injectors cleaned and tested. New injector clips...exc...you get the idea. Any more things I should check or test? Running out of ideas.
  16. Towed it 200 or so miles doing 80, all highway, yea your correct, rb20 tranny's are essentially the same as sr, ka, ca, with minor differences. Just swap to the bell housing for your application. They are good to about 400 horsepower, I'd prefer a rb25 tranny but the price is kinda high due to the demand that they have from the rb26 guys that want a rwd trans.
  17. The rack setup would be rear mounted on the front subframe, so I would have no problems with oil pan clearance. I defenently want a 2jz, and I've got the rb240 up for sale locally but all the interest is from kids dreaming to own a 240. So the reality may be me getting stuck with it. So I my just work with what I've got
  18. Hello guys, been tossing around the idea of throwing a rb25det in a starion. I bought a 240sx with the swap already installed in it a little over a year ago, the swap has a blown automatic tranny but seems to run great. I got to test drive it before I damaged the transmission by towing it on a dolly without disconnecting the driveshaft (yea I know, stupid move) I got the car super cheap, only paid 1500 for it and was planning to use the swap with a manual tranny in a starion. I really want a 2j swap instead because it's a much better platform and the exhaust is on the correct side for a starion, but I think I can make it work. I do have a few questions for all you guys that have motor swaps though. I am mainly concerned about issues I may run into with the steering box being on the drivers side with the motors exhaust/down pipe being on the same side. Im planning on running a aftermarket turbo and manafold if I have the funds to do so after the swap is all said and done. So I may be able to get some of my minor clearance issues resolved that way. I also would like to do a 240sx or r33 steering rack or possibly front subframe if I can make it all work together with minimal issues. I'm just wondering what issues you swapped guys have run into with the stock steering setup, and what are the issues with converting to a steering rack setup. Dose anyone have pictures after a rack convertionhas been installed with a swap? One last thing, I did a little search and found a guy that swapped a rb in a starion, anyone have more pics/info on that cars setup?
  19. Oh shoot! My good friend owned this car a few years back! Glad to see another az guy! Let me know if you need a hand or parts, I've got a huge collection of parts and starions!
  20. Whats up guys, Im looking to upgrade my fuel system in my flatty. And wanted to see what you guys have done as far as fuel pressure regulators go on a stockish tbi system. What would work best with the tbi system? could you guys post some information and pics of your modded fuel systems? thanks in advance
  21. Scotty been trying to get ahold of you, shoot me a call or text, or pm!
  22. Like the title says, looking for a 87 wiring harness that is uncut, 87 fuseable link holder and links, and MPI parts, Planning on converting one of my cars to MPI so Id like to start stacking up parts for the swap. Any MPI or performance parts that might help me out please let me know. Also might be in the market for a T3 exhaust manafold
