well, I got to the dyno.

after having an ignition cable problem, then an injector sticking on me, I swapped back to 450cc injectors and made 218rwhp with the injectors @ 125% duty cycle.

through my trans that equates to about 300chp. so, not bad for the situation. Of coarse, I wish it would have went better.

Now I will buy some new crap, and try again. If anyone wants I can post a dyno graph, but 218 isnt anything to brag about.

Joe, he always asks. he thinks he's funny.

Oh, I forgot to mention that reverse also did not work (we had to push it onto the dyno)

But I was just messing around, and i seem to have reverse if I push the transbrake button in reverse. Tell me if thats normal.

I just tested my "bad" injectors on my pwm test bench, and they seem to be fine..... arrrrg

I also have a reverse valvebody (Th400). It has a lag in reverse because of the way it is routed through the trans. If you wait it should work. I put it in gear and bring the rpms up a little. It takes a couple seconds. Nice project! Glad to see its comming around.

v8starion, do you have a transbrake? if you do, you should have to engage the transbrake to engage reverse, in R or N.

After reading, it seems that with a pre-69 th350, you have to press the transbrake button to engage reverse. I will call TCI Monday to verify.

Bryan, you need mudflaps. :P

So I plated the quest and put a few miles on it today, so far so good.

decently cool egt's, and consistent afr's. The reverse manual valve body took a minute to get used too, but I really like it.

I need to figure out a speedometer. right now I just have a printed out shot of a gear calculator for rpm vs speed reference.

http://ilostmymind.com/gearcalc/ incase anyone wants to use it, I stole it from http://www.grimmjeeper.com/ , he seems to have problems keeping his servers up.

small update.

I got my 950cc injectors in from racetronix, had to mod them to fit..ghey. If I knew that I would have paid the extra for FuelInjectorClinics.

Swapping from 450's to 950's only required changing the "Required Fuel".

And the holset wound up blowing out the exhaust oil seal, and the bearings were pretty loose.

So, in waiting on the rebuild, I borrowed my buddies ebay "T70". It comes on about 500 rpm later, and doesnt come on quite as hard at 20psi.

After rebuilding my H1C, I found out the shaft is bent, luckily I know a guy in the medical machining industry that thinks he can straighten it.

In the mean time, the t70's nut came off and danced between the screen and the compressor wheel. I caught it pretty quickly, but it did some damage.

So I owe my buddy a turbo, and I'm waiting on my turbo. since it's already screwed, I'm just running the "repaired" t70 which comes on even later now, and doesnt want to push 15psi.

btw, I used locktite on the repair. :D haha

at least its driveable.

Yes with the Trans Brake you have to press your button to make reverse work. I had this problem when I got my first brake car. I bought a car & Trailer and couldnt get the race car off at the track I was pissed and my dad was like ummm PUsh the button and it worked

what size is that exhaust housing? it looks way too big for the cubic inch of the motor. it looks like the turbo came from a diesel.

ITs a Holset.... it did come from a deisel! lol There are a couple MPI cars here running that monster.

alright ladies.

I installed the holset again, so far so good.

its the H1C off a cummins of some sort. I now make 22lbs of boost at 4,000 rpm, on the little chinese turbo I made 20lbs at 3,000 or less rpm.

The holsets 22lbs feels a lot harder than the 57 trims boost.

I also just installed the 60mm throttle body, I had the 2g 52mm throttle body on before. I ran with the holset with the 52, and the 60. It seems to have a little more topend with the 60mm. I need to pull some fuel out of the topend now, I dunno why, but its running richer than it was now that the 60mm is on there.

heres some eye candy:
