I hope what I write doesn't come out as gibberish! I am extremely exhaust from so much work. I started welding tonight and all is going well. I am still planning on completing everything by Monday May 14th. I'm waiting on the rest of my clevises to arrive also. I took some quick pictures or you guys who requested them.

Last night I just tacked some of the brackets in place, which you can see from the image. Here are some more pictures, with everything loose fit. I'm really happy with how they turned out. They are ridged than the Gen I bars.

Excuse the mess of my car, I haven't had time to finish is from the winter.

The main bar was a scrap, that is over bent. I used it to give you all an idea of how they will look.

This is the rear sitting in place.

Firewall bracket only tacketed. The bracket in front of the firewall plate is off center, not the bracket. http://www.csonline.net/starquest/sb_6.jpg

I'll post more pictures when I have a set complete with paint and all polished.

NNOOOO!!! i missed it? Is there a way to order one out of the GP?

I would open more spots, if I had more time. I am completely swamped with right now. I have to finish this by next Wednesday, because I'm going on vacation then. Sorry man!

I still am doing the boots, but with being so busy for the GP, I don't have time at the moment. I actually have to send out two at the moment. Thanks for looking into it. When I have some time I can get with you to see what you would like.

Thanks,

Shawn

Any updates Shawn?

Yes, I'm about 2 hours away from complete everything! Tomorrow my 1/2 20 nuts will be in. They didn't arrive today, but I was promised they will be in at 7:30am at the store.

I sent a PM about payment options. Let me know if you didn't get it.

Thanks,

Shawn

I wanted to let you all know I am 100% done. This was a bigger project thank I would have imagined. I really was working until last minute! I've spent countless hours on these. The last few days are something I hope to never repeat!

As of now I'm sitting in the airport waiting on my delayed flight. This is my first breather in a long time.

I have some quick pictures for install instructions, however they are very self explanatory. I'll take care of this Friday if I have a moment, that will be my first chance to take care of this.

Thanks for everyone's support!

pics?

Sorry no pics...It's going to be a little while before I put them on. I'm actually getting ready to start the tear down process and then the build back up. I will tell you though that the quality is top notch.

Yeah, I believe so..

The triangulation bars don't get them.

I can't say why exactly, we'll have to wait for shawn to comment on it.. But, my theory is that the triangulation bars don't get tensioned nearly as much as the tower-to-tower units.. I'll prolly pick up some for them anyways.

Which brings up another thing. Is the firewall strong/thick enough to be tensioned against? I've had friends with older 72-ish 240z's and they have to weld thicker material in the center spot to keep the firewall from flexing/denting etc...
