101PROPOSE
hello members, sorry for the long delay and thanks for being patient with me! since this manufacuturer is taking too long to ship my first order, i have been contacting other manufacturers and received a sample from one other factory today. this is one has the damping adjuster on top instead of bottom for easy adjustment. i will test fit it and let you know. here are some pictures. thanks,101 http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/z0153.JPG http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/z0154.JPG http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/z0155.JPG http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/z0156.JPG

Xtreme Industries
i just compared the 2 versions. i like the adjustment on the top but the other struts appear to have a heavier duty shaft then these ones. what are the bennefits of one over the other? are these newer ones a lighter duty strut? DrvNsily
i just compared the 2 versions. i like the adjustment on the top but the other struts appear to have a heavier duty shaft then these ones. what are the bennefits of one over the other? are these newer ones a lighter duty strut? The other one looked to me as a reversed mount strut, meaning the body was on top and the shaft was actually hidden behind the alum lower body. They usually do this for race apps to have less sprung weight. Since you do not have to move the weight of the steel strut body the suspension technically it can move faster, less inertia. Also that is why the adjustment was on the bottom, just like the newer style it is on the end of the shaft. So these both are rebound only adjustment struts. importwarrior
http://www.mookeeh.com/starquest/mk1-fco-1.jpg the shaft on the other style looks twice as large as the newer manufacturer shaft. :?
Rusky
How much of a difference would the shaft thickness make for our cars? Is thicker better in this case?
DrvNsily
That is not the shaft. That is the strut body. The shaft is hidden under the alum tube in the bottom. Pretty much like putting a replacement cartrage in the front and installing/mounting it upsidedown. The shaft would be inside the tube and the body would attatch to the spring perch. 101PROPOSE
shaft is same size as the stock ones. i am still waiting for the first style and i will be offering them as well when i get them in. thanks,

Komeuppance
Someone wanted me to ask: can someone do me a favor and ask a question about mookehs coilovers. I want to know if the dampner height is adjustable as well as the spring, or is just the spring adjustable? Also ask if there is any chance of getting dust boots for them. I also want to know if the are bound and rebound adjustable. One last thing, will the dampners be rebuildable? Thanks -Robert
