Chad
It's a daunting task, I don't think anyone has done it yet. Just the dash is worthelss without the special sensors and differetn wire harness it uses.
Richie_Rich
I don't think anyone has succesfully installed a digital dash in a wide body. I heard someone may have, but had to use the technica computer rigged to run the dash. Get you car to run good. make some mods and leave the dash alone. 4evafr33
thanks guys, will do such a same though, dont get me wrong i rather analog dials due to the fact of being able to estimate shifts and know what to expect, its just a digi dash looks good for a old car im not into rice or anything just a nice assesory if you had the sensors as you stated
bzurc
the 83-84 Digi-dash is much easier to install from what I've read. They use analog gauges for Oil Pressure, Coolant Temp, Battery (although it's an ampmeter), and Fuel Level, while the tach and speedometer are digital. The speedometer readout tops out at 85 though, and who'd want that?
Loye
Maybe it's just me but those technica instrument clusters always looked like they belong in an old s-
MontyTSI
first you say you havent seen one in "ages" ...the 87 flattys were most often technicas then you say you bought your TSI a week ago and you want info I personally think 100 is a good price.. your shipping is a ripoff start being straight with us or go away..
