Recommended Posts

Ok, about $500 worth of fuel line upgrade components and -an fittings and now I'm just waiting on the intake pipe from *DM, Then it's go time! I think I'll start taking out all the rest of the engine bay clutter. A/C stuff, cruise control, etc!

The intake barely cleared the booster on the test fit, but I gave it about a 1/4" more with my BIG dead-blow hammer. The engine will rock a little side to side, but not much front to back, so I wasn't too worried. Solid engine mounts will take care of any problems if needs be.

Distributor Mod is all done, I just need the intake from Kelly, Drill a BIG hole for it, Wire power and the tach adaptor, install the ABS bypass line from Oscar, and it's ready to go! I'll have to post a few more pics

Ok, Kelly's chromed MPI inlet pipe arrived today! Oscars, ABS bypass came yesterday. Looks like I may be able to get it finished this weekend, just need to whip out the plasma cutter!

Well had to cut about 6" out of the MPI inlet pipe to make it fit, also have to drill and tap for the air temp sensor. Need 1 more an fitting for the fuel line. Looks like it won't be today! Hopefully I'll get it done before I head off to Oregon for the first 2 weeks of July.

I had to do the same to my booster as well. There was no clearance when I first test fitted it.

I just got a few more AN fittings and line I ordered, so my fuel system will be completed soon, I just need to find a bung to weld onto my inlet pipe for the air temp sensor, then get it re-chromed. I thought I told kelly I need a screw in bung for the sensor, but oh-well, too late now. Looks like the car will be put on hold until I get back from my 2 week vacation in Oregon.

So close yet......

hmm im liking those gauges, any info on it?

White faces with a blue needle kit, bought it years ago! Pain in the butt on the blue needle kit, tons of small wires, but it turned out nice, I'm working on converting the clock LCD to be blue and the HVAC controls. It's good to have a brother that is an electronics wiz!

OK, Just got back from a 2 week vacation up in Oregon, and rebuilt my younger brothers engine for him while I was there.

I ordered the last fitting I need to complete the fuel system, hopefully it will be here in the next few days, then I just need to finish the wiring inside, plumb the radiator outlet, and fire her up.

Just got done with the wiring in the engine compartment, I took out the water resevior under the battery and mounted my MSD6AL and Tach adaptor under there. I actually squeezed the battery back in. I'm either going to try to find a smaller battery, or just get off my lazy butt and install the relocation kit I got for it years ago! I was hoping to have it done tonight to take it to MOD 06 tomarrow, but it looks like it won't happen, and no need to rush things at this point. So that will give me all day saturday to finish the 6 wires inside the car, tidy everything up, then run down to the parts store to see what I can create for a upper radiator hose.

I had the same issue with my manifold. Stuck a couple of washers under the tranny mount and all was good. I think they designed that manifold on a car with solid mounts.

Duuuuuhhhhhhh.Never mind.I figured out what the 2 t-stat housings are for now.Good idea.

Do you have a close up pic of them together with the hose?

I am wanting to go with the hurricane or the magna.Just wasn't cool with not having a built in t-stat provision. Now that i pretty much know how it works i like that.I'd consider the EIP tuning intake too now.

Currently I'ved installe the MS for fuel control only. I was going to do the ignition after the fuel was dialed in, but the car has sat for about a year and I have no time for it anymore.
