Only the head gasket has been a problem. A copper gasket with an "O"ringed block can be use, but not everyone can do this. We have found a "bolt on" gasket that can solve the problem. We have talked to a few gasket companies and think the best design is by SCE. The gasket we are talking to them about is there Titan ICS gasket, which they do not make for the G54B. This is a copper gasket with built in seals and stainless steel "O" ring. This gasket , does NOT need the block "o"ringed or any type of sealant. It is designed to be a long term gasket and is for high boost engines, they set a record useing this gasket(268ci turbo SBC made 1883HP at 43psi, combustion pressure were recorded at over 3000psi!!, they made 52 dyno runs like this to 9300rpm!! with NO leaks of any kind.) We would like to go ahead with the making of SCE Titan ICS head gasket for the G54B, but need to see how much interest there is in this, as it will require a large investment. We will have to ship them a head and block as well. We would need sell about 50 gaskets to break even. The price will be about $130.00 each. They said they can produce finished gaskets in about eight weeks. Check out this link for more info.
