Started on the first Crank!

Well after almost 18 months of downtime, from getting the motor rebuilt and installing new hard lines for the sx1000 fuel pump, hard pipes, and installing the MPI. We finally cranked her up and instantly started. We ran her around the block, very strong and willing to accept the pressure from the 67 trim t4 turbo. More tuning tomorrow. Oh wait a minute...ED we need the software for the controller!

Looks good desert. Mine too started right up after I fixed my msd ignition problem. Mine is going to see the road today I just have to hook up one more gauge and hook my downpipe back up and its ready to drive again. What kind of boost are you looking to run with that turbo?

Well This monster will flow very high at low boost, I think 15-20(race gas for 20 psi) is good for street, it will flow at least 1000 cfm if not more. The key here is volume not pressure. This turbo can still be very fun at 10 psi.!!

My mpi hurricane newbie question is does the stock dizzy work with the system or do you have to source a different one and make it work

The stock disturbutor and ignition box can be use with all of our fuel systems.

As an option we offer our IgnitionPro1 programable timing controller system, it is used with the stock disturbutor , but you remove the vaccum advance and fly wt's. from the disturbutor.

We do recommend the IgnitionPro1 along with something like a MSD-6 for better preformance.

This can be added any time or when you install the HURRICANE-4 kit.

Regards,

Ed

I got a chance to see the Hurrican intake in person.

So what do I think?

It is an awesome intake. Absolutely beautiful. Excellent runner and plenum design. Top notch welds. Very good fuel rail set up.

All in all I was very impressed at the intake!
