Howdy!

Hi everyone,

I bought my first Starquest, a 1985 Dodge Conquest Technica, in early April from a gentleman in Baltimore. It had 115k on the odometer then, now has over 122k. It has the stick shift and is, besides one repaint in its lifetime, essentially all-original. It's been fun pouring over the owner's manual and diligently bringing it back up to date on all its manufacturer recommended maintenance and replacements - that said, it's been wonderfully reliable and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Come the beginning of November, she's getting taken off the road for the winter and will be receiving a professional repaint in its original color combination, Seychelles Red/Majorca Black (paint looks good in the pictures and on the road, but it has peel in places and I'm not satisfied with it cosmetically until it's perfect). After that, I plan a life of leisure for it, only to be enjoyed on warm, sunny days! It's lasted this long and deserves it.

I've always have a soft spot for the Flatties, and they're too uncommon for me to have the heart to modify them, but I love all Starquests and enjoy seeing how other owners make theirs their own! I'm always on the lookout for sources of stock OEM parts for the non-intercooled too as I bring her back to her original glory.

Thanks, the forum looks fantastic and looking forward to meeting folks!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! While the narrow-bodies may not be as quick or as dramatically styled as the wide-bodies, they're still sleek in their own way and get plenty of "what the heck is that??" stares and questions from people for its 80's-weird-retrofuturistic presence. I <3 my little spaceship.
