Price for the DIY kit is $40 shipped $35 shipped (lower 48) (shipping a bit less than expected, brought it down from 45)

[$70 for two]

paypal: Aaronwork4@gmail.com

Comes with:

-My custom made Pin (w/ washers and clip pin)

-M12 Drill Bit

-Long Bearing for Clutch Pedal

-Two short Bearings for the Clutch Cylinder

I also want to offer a mail order deal, where you can send your clutch pedal and i will do the work-

Pressing the bearings into the clutch mc arm can be tricky and I've come up with some tools to do it without bending the arms.

Hoping to be able to get clutch master cylinder cores from this that I can rebuild and send out brand new with the pedals.

Also, have non-bushing type (all metal) mc adjusters (from a nissan) to replace ours (with the rubber bushing) to tighten up pedal feel.

Let me know where interest lies

Thanks

Put it together on a starquest pedal & mc today

here are some pics

forgot to take pics during the installation, but the ovaled out holes were completely re-rounded by the upsize, and the bearings fit perfectly

no slop in any direction

Reinstalled this nice system which works nice and smooth as advertised with no play. No more clickity clack of the clevis pin ovaling out the pedal hole and pushrod connector bracket. Only tried it up to third gear yesterday, but really I could tell without even driving it this was a huge improvement. Here are a few before and after picshttp://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag335/pcrist/0063_zps557b3655.jpg http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag335/pcrist/0052_zps20812bca.jpg http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag335/pcrist/0093_zps28800439.jpg http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag335/pcrist/0113_zps499260a7.jpg

Working on the second batch of these

-New prices: (shipped to lower 48)

$12 for stock sized replacement pin

$30 for kit (includes pin, bearings, and drill bit)

[$50 for two kits]

as proven above, they work

one time fix for your sloppy clutch pedal, that is now cheaper

Payments to:

Up to you, it can be done on your own with some ingenuity

In the photos i show the bearings being pressed in from the inside, on the starion mc arms its easier to press them from the outside

You need to have shims to keep the two arms from bending together while you press/hammer in the bearing

Or you can bring it by or ship it to me

p.s. Still working on finding a source for the nissan pin arms that don't have the rubber bushing- (other than taking clutch pedals apart in the junkyard)

pm or post any questions on the forum

I posted pictures of the whole process so the diy procedure could be part of the public discussion instead of trying to keep it a secret to prevent competition

Be as careful as you can when drilling the master cylinder arms, shim them so they cant bend inwards when drilling, use a drill press if possible

keep the shims in when you hammer/press in the bearings then trim them flush with a grinder

  • 2 weeks later...

Have several DIY kits ready to go, I would rather see them out in the community than sitting in my garage

Adjusted prices one last time

$10 for just the pin

$20 for pin, bearings, and drill bit (DIY kit)

$20 to send me your clutch pedal and the master cylinder adjuster* You pay shipping here and back

(bronze colored piece that is pinned to the pedal)*

Sorry for changing the price, i was looking at my costs and time for development instead of the cost/hours to make each kit

I feel $20 is fair, covers parts & shipping and leaves a bit for my time

Let me know what you guys think

side note, the 944 dd I've picked up has the same issue with the clutch pedal

will take a look at the setup, might be a market there as well

Kits been sitting on my workbench, should be installing it tomoro. Gonna try and do it with everything in the car at first to see if its possible

I've done both and removed it all. I had Aaron do the assembly of bearings and I reinstalled back in the car. I would be amazed if you could pull this off. Wouldn't be too bad if the dash was out, but not worth it to pull the dash to do this mod. Good luck and let us know how you fare
