Hoping to be able to get clutch master cylinder cores from this that I can rebuild and send out brand new with the pedals. Also, have non-bushing type (all metal) mc adjusters (from a nissan) to replace ours (with the rubber bushing) to tighten up pedal feel. Let me know where interest liesThanks Edited January 28, 2015 by Squrlsquash

tankbob
This is on the list for parts to buy with tax return. Im sure many others will be doing the same, love the progress you made on this.
pcristquester
Reinstalled this nice system which works nice and smooth as advertised with no play. No more clickity clack of the clevis pin ovaling out the pedal hole and pushrod connector bracket. Only tried it up to third gear yesterday, but really I could tell without even driving it this was a huge improvement. Here are a few before and after picshttp://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag335/pcrist/0063_zps557b3655.jpg http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag335/pcrist/0052_zps20812bca.jpg http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag335/pcrist/0093_zps28800439.jpg http://i1372.photobucket.com/albums/ag335/pcrist/0113_zps499260a7.jpg

tankbob
Whats the trick to pressing the bearings? I live about an hour from you so I could come over once my car is running if it takes some special tools. If not Id like to purchase the kit asap
Squrlsquash
Up to you, it can be done on your own with some ingenuity In the photos i show the bearings being pressed in from the inside, on the starion mc arms its easier to press them from the outsideYou need to have shims to keep the two arms from bending together while you press/hammer in the bearing Or you can bring it by or ship it to me p.s. Still working on finding a source for the nissan pin arms that don't have the rubber bushing- (other than taking clutch pedals apart in the junkyard) Edited February 3, 2015 by Squrlsquash

tankbob
Ill take a kit, Im sure I can figure it out.
Squrlsquash
pm or post any questions on the forumI posted pictures of the whole process so the diy procedure could be part of the public discussion instead of trying to keep it a secret to prevent competition Be as careful as you can when drilling the master cylinder arms, shim them so they cant bend inwards when drilling, use a drill press if possiblekeep the shims in when you hammer/press in the bearings then trim them flush with a grinder
Squrlsquash
Have several DIY kits ready to go, I would rather see them out in the community than sitting in my garageAdjusted prices one last time $10 for just the pin$20 for pin, bearings, and drill bit (DIY kit)$20 to send me your clutch pedal and the master cylinder adjuster* You pay shipping here and back(bronze colored piece that is pinned to the pedal)*
Squrlsquash
Sorry for changing the price, i was looking at my costs and time for development instead of the cost/hours to make each kitI feel $20 is fair, covers parts & shipping and leaves a bit for my time Let me know what you guys think side note, the 944 dd I've picked up has the same issue with the clutch pedalwill take a look at the setup, might be a market there as well

pcristquester
Kits been sitting on my workbench, should be installing it tomoro. Gonna try and do it with everything in the car at first to see if its possibleI've done both and removed it all. I had Aaron do the assembly of bearings and I reinstalled back in the car. I would be amazed if you could pull this off. Wouldn't be too bad if the dash was out, but not worth it to pull the dash to do this mod. Good luck and let us know how you fare
