Hi guys just wanted you to know I now rebuild turbos to the public.

If you have a turbo that needs to be rebuilt Pm me for a quote.

All of my rebuilds come with a 1 year warranty and use only Oem or better quality parts.

I am posting this is I bought out my friends shop and I now have all the factory tooling to do even more turbo service than before.

I have been building and rebuilding turbos for over 8 years, My prices are very reasonable and turn around times are fast. (unless you have some odd ball I have to source parts for)

Yes I do, and all of my work comes with a 1 year warranty for parts and labor.

I use only quality Oem parts not the cheep china ebay crap. My overhead is low

so I pass on the savings to my customer.

Here is my balance machine I use.

Sounds good but people will be wary unless you can post some references or a website, pics or pricing, etc. Are we talking standard rebuilds, ungrades from 12A to bigger turbos...? That kinda thing. Maybe look into becoming a vendor in the SQ Bazaar for the rebuilds? Good luck sir. Edited by Fuze

Some people may be a little gun shy about this because of a past incident with the samething. However with some patience I bet you'll do great.

I really don't want to be a wet blanket I'm just putting that it there.

Let's give this guy some business.

Thanks for the reply and concern as I agree fully,

I do need a website for sure, I will offer other parts and upgrades as well later, such as intercoolers, fittings, clamps, ect. I want to keep the overhead low so I will design a basic website for now (but will take time).

Prices will always very depending on condition of each turbo. for instance my current project is a twin turbo gt 3000. My customer was quoted 500$ each for them to be rebuilt(1000$), I quoted him 300$ per turbo(600$) again my overhead is low so I can charge less.

I will service most stock to modified ball bearing turbos. repair times very but will be expedited. I will be fare and honest with everyone, I know this will

take time to establish trust and feedback which will make this successful.

Here is some good info

http://www.turborepair.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=207:turbocharger-rebuilds-101&catid=44:knowledge-faqs&Itemid=164

I will state that if your turbo is beyond repair, all I will charge you is return shipping. Please ask more questions if you have any.

Thanks,

Jason

As long as your dealings here are above board then you should be ok. Don't expect alot of people to jump on right away. You will need to build up some feedback first. This is nothing personal against you. Just alot of members here got burned by a former member. So many here are gun shy about members offering turbo rebuilding.

Read about it here.

I respect that, Wow I just read the link you posted, I myself was burned by a machine shop, I never saw my engine or my deposit (1800$) they closed doors and he ran.

I learned a lot from that, you treat others as you want to be treated. I am willing to prove there are good techs but unfortunately there are bad ones too.

You have to earn trust and provide reliable product, the word of mouth takes it from there.

You stick to that philosophy and you will do fine around here. Like you have already read, there will be some doubters and nay-sayers, but if you are honest with people (tell them the truth, not what you think they want to hear) and can provide a quality service, you will have customers. You aren't gonna get rich from doing stuff for these cars, but you can get a little extra jingle in the pocket from time to time. Be patient and honest and you will make a good name for yourself. Also, please be active on this site in reference to your threads and offerings, and pop in to answer questions every day or so, as people start to get nervous (from past bad dealings) when communication gets light from the vendor. I have a local shop that does all of my turbo work, so I probably wont be a customer of yours, but I do hope you have great success with this endeavor, as it is something that this community could certainly use.

Thanks ,and honesty is always the best policy in my book. I really enjoy helping people with there projects. like most I do not mind a little extra jingle in the pocket. This

hobby can be expensive. I appreciate all of your time and know it will work out great. I never take anything on I cannot handle, I do not BS and get to the point, I am

Honest and reliable when someone is in need of good service.

The first step in the rebuild process is a full inspection. If any of the hard parts are found to be damaged at this point, I would contact you and give you a full quote for repairing or replacing the parts. There is no upfront payment or deposit required, and you are not obligated to complete the rebuild after you have received a quote (if the rebuild will be much more extensive, or costly, than what you had planned to spend.

For your second question, I will have this service but not at this time, I am doing basic upgrades and rebuilds for now, like compressor housings and compressor wheels.

In the near future I can take more advance types of projects like mill out 12a compressor housing and installing a 16g wheel in it if that's what you want, but only when I establish a good and reliable machinist.

Please keep me in mind and check into see if I am ready. Should be very soon.

All the ones I have done have been off, even factory ones, when you have a mass produced part nothing is prefect. I spent a lot of money on the equipment I have now and

can prove that your diy will be off to some degree. The chance of putting a none balanced turbo spinning over 100,000 rpm is not a thing id risk in my engine. But this is just

my opinion.

i have a 12a with good fins, good housings, and a rebuild kit, all apart + cleaned

what would you do during your rebuild + what would be the cost?

could i send you just the center cartridge (no housings) to be balanced + rebuilt?

also, exhaust wheel has some crispy bits on it that wont come off, does it generally get sand blasted?

I will be straight forward, I don't use customers kits because I cannot warranty them, nothing against you personally even if its a factory kit I wont do it.

As I stated in the above post.

I think this is fare as I will not give a quote on something I have never put my hands on. I have been told before (My turbo is good just needs a rebuild) Things happen in the mail also, I require you to put insurance on your parts

($400 or more) shipped to me and when its done I ship back with insurance ($400 or more depending on the turbo) That way if anything happens we are both covered.

The above statement is to protect both party's involved.

I media blast all my units because I am a clean freak and I want a fresh clean unit to work with. I charge per piece to be cleaned because there is time and money spent to do so. Yes sending just your center will be less money because less time is involved.

hopefully I have covered all of your questions and concerns.

That is a legit question, Sense I have done only my personal projects and lots of friends projects I am putting together a blog for people to right in on.

Most of my friends are in the DSM world, But what brought me here in 2008 was I installed a tsi engine in my rally off road Montero rig. I found great support from a lot of you guys.

This is why I wanted to open my service to the public now that I have more quality tools to do so.

I will post some picks soon on here

I do have a little clip from a talon awd stroker motor I built the turbo for.

its a

DSM BB Green - last checked was 43 lbs of boost

  • Compressor wheel - 73HTA
  • Flow rating - 54LB per minute
  • CW Measurements - 52.6MM Inducer / 73MM Exducer
  • TW Measurements - 67.3MM Inducer / 58.8MM Exducer
  • Compressor Housing - 84MM Flow Advancement Port Cover
  • Turbine Housing - FP 8CM
  • CHRA - FP Dual Ball Bearing

Aprox 600hp

it all sounds good, one more question. let's say my stock 12a turbo on my car right now is boosting fine with no leaks and i just want a rebuild , AND nothing is damaged so all that is needed is your inspection showing these results, a media cleaning of parts and housing then the kit and your time, with me covering the shipping cost, what will i owe you ?
