You don't have to hack the harness. Just cut a slit on both sides of the connector ON the MAS (NOT the harness) and bend that extra pin down if need be. Then the stock connector will slide right on without any hacking. That's what I did and works perfect. Good luck!

Ok I see where maybe he thought your were talking about the honeycomb. Ill take the star out and see how it does. I wanted to do the 1g MAF but I really dont want to hack up the harness.

Nope, I was talking about the cardboard star, but was just completely wrong, hah. I'd been reading about other makes of air flow meter that don't have the honeycomb, and really need a baffle after the meter to smooth things out, and got myself confused. Ditch the cardboard star, it looks pretty dirty too, so can only be a good thing to get rid of it.

That will be the first thing I do. Ive been meaning to ask you, are your wheels the Rota Grids Off Road series wheels?

I started working on the air dam brackets today. I bought another piece of metal that's a little big wider for the upper part of the bracket that I will work on tomorrow. The factory L brackets are still mounted on the car and in good condition so I don't have to worry about those.

Got a chance to work on the upper brackets today. I just have one tab to fix on the air dam and it will be ready to be mounted. I also bought all the new hardware to mount it too.

I got some time today to get the air dam mounted on the bumper and get installed on the car. The header panel and grill aren't bolted down, I just wanted to see how it looks with everything put on.

Ive been busy rebuilding the throttle body. I had an issue with the TPS joint so I had to buy another one.

I marked the throttle body in a lot of different spots and took some pictures to make sure everything went back in correctly.

http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsc9ebf33c.jpg

I ordered a couple of throttle body seals from SKF since the old ones were pretty much falling apart.

Heres all the seals that I replaced from throttle body.

I removed all the old heater hoses since most of them were either already leaking or swollen.

Made a trip out to the local parts store and bought all the hoses. One of the heater hoses was not in stock so they let me in the back to find one that was close to what I needed.

And the vacuum hose on the FPR was cut so I replaced it as well.

Heres all the new hoses installed.

And finally got to a good stopping point and decided to call it a day.

I still have to replace the upper radiator hose and coolant hose that comes off the turbo and the oil return line.

Had a little set back today. I started taking the EGR valve off to clean it and one of the bolts broke since it was cross threaded. I decided to just pull the whole intake manifold and ordered all new gaskets for it and the valve cover.

Both money pits together

Well today was a good and bad day. I got the car all back together and running, but it looks like I need to replace the valve stem seals and get the turbo rebuilt. When I originally took the intercooler piping off I noticed the oil in there and when I had intake manifold off I noticed dried up oil on intake valves.

I got the last of the parts today and just in time. Mishimoto couplers, OEM Mitsubishi PCV valve and new oil return hose for the turbo.

I got the new lines installed along with the turbo coolant hose.

The factory coupler was trashed so I bought a new coupler and just had to cut back about 1/2inch to get it to fit right.

And finally, all finished up. I bought new vacuum hoses for everything that covered the BOV, HVAC controls and some other hoses. I didn't do all of them since I will eventually remove all the emission parts. The car is going off to paint in the morning so Ill send out the turbo when it gets back.
