MPGorBOOST
It's not too pleasing to me as well. I've already come up with another idea. I only have 24 hours and $75 of materials in it. LOL Accepts constructive criticism with grace, appreciation and laughter?? We need more people like you in this world and less butt nuggets.
quikconq
It might be a little boxy,, but you did say"Going for an IMSA GT look popular in the late 80's"And it is looking like those,,, maybe a little massaging?
autotr8er2
glad to see it is just trial and error, I did not think it flowed with the car. do you have any images of the style you are looking at achieving? This has gotten me all stirred up. LOL http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l543/autotr8er/Ford-GT-concept-PLACEMENT-626x382.jpg
autotr8er2
I can't remember who did this rendering. http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/l543/autotr8er/dreamcar.jpg But it certainly is where I'd like to go. As I said before, its just an exercise. I still have a ways to go before I make it final. I'll have to sit the body on the frame and based on what I see then will put me on the right path. Yes, you are right. The unfortunate part of all this is the "massaging" means cutting and more sanding. Ha!

Xtreme Industries
why not talk to convette and see if he will sell you a set. no point in reinventing the wheel. his over fenders are just crazy awesome. I would buy a set if I still had my conquest.

I did this rendering years and years ago....well I did the black one of demontsi's car. Someone took the image, flipped it, made it blue, put horrible wheels on it etc... http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/widechopped.jpg Funny how this pic gets around.. autotr8er2
Look at one of Convette's replies. I believe he put a link to it. sad. Wonder what happened to the car? So I've put off any other changes for now. I'm saving up for the drivetrain and I'm a little short. This past weekend I modified my harbor freight gantry crane I bought off Craigslist. Took 18 inches from the height. Modified the outer and inner tubes also the supports. It didn't have cranks so I fabricated some. Regarding the flares, I've decided to wait until I have the body on the chassis and then I'll go from there.
autotr8er2
Alright, ready to get started again. I need to get some crowdfunding. Picking up the driveline tomorrow and will have it installed. Modifying the Chassis table, the weight is too much for the casters and it's difficult to move when I mount the wheels and tires. Upgrading the casters to some roller bearing, steel wheeled, HD setup. Total weight rating 5400 pounds. More than adequate. Stay tuned for some more action.
