Whats the scoop on the brake lines? Are the threads on the mustang caliper the same as the quest?

I am using Jolyrgr lines and would like to keep them. But, If these will need different lines, no proplem.

EDIT:

Upon further review of pics of the cobra calipers, I feel I should rephrase my question. In the event that we purchase used calipers with the mustang lines attached, will they attache to the hard brake lines on the quest?

If the answer is no, then custom lines are required. Any hydraulic shop should be able to handle that.

Ok, so on the lines: Threads at the stock calipers are the same as the ones on the cobra calipers, HOWEVER, on the cobras it uses a crush washer banjo type line, not the male/female type that the quests use. What I did was use a crush washer and screwed the stock lines right into the cobra calipers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS, but I'm not 100 percent sure if theirs any harm in doing this, I havent had any leaks, or any issues and I've been EXTREMELY hard on them. Its stupid because the cobra calipers are from Australia and use metric fittings, but change when they go to the mustang lines.

I will try and grab a few pics today, if not tomorrow.

I hope I'm being clear, as far as it bolting up, sure, but like I said if you feel more comfortable, have the end of your existing line changed, or just have a new one made. If you buy used calipers, most likely they will come with lines, and its very cheap to have a new end put on it that will work with the quest stuff.

I'm only stating what I've done for reference. The last think I want is to be is held responsible if someones brakes fail because they did what I've done.

I've added you to the list Nomad, I will provide my number for ppl who buy them to provide as much support as I can for these when they are installing them.

Did some machining tonight, should have them finished up by tomorrow. Heres a pic of how I installed the line. Like I said, it works for me, but use your own discretion.
