ColdScrip
Car #3. Got this car off of techboy. The plan is to have it replace my daily 88 fiji as it has rot and frame damage. Also moving for my new job soon so I have been trying to finish it. Lets get to it. How I got it:http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/DSC04291.jpg You can see techboy's Mitsu tech in this photo scanning the car for any problems...http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/DSC04290.jpg http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/DSC04289.jpg Custom acid-dipped hood LOLhttp://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/DSC04272.jpg This car has been in a big front end wreck on the passenger side. Bent frame rail and all. Luckily whoever repaired it was a complete pro as everything lines up and besides some wavy metal in areas it doesn't matter, you couldnt even tell. Hoping everything will line up 100% but im impressed with the repair work. Such a good repair that I didn't find it until I stripped the car down. Crappy cell phone pics to start They for some reason spliced in a new fuse block. Gah Hard to see pic:http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/IMG_0400.jpg What do you do when your fuel pump dies and you dont want to drop the tank? Toss another one in behind it LOL.http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/IMG_0406.jpg Broken bolts are always funhttp://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/IMG_0475.jpg http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/IMG_0405.jpg http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/IMG_0402.jpg http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/IMG_0403.jpg http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/ColdScrip/IMG_0404.jpg Next update: Underbody coating with POR 15 and suspensions... So much so that I'm currently enroute to southwestern Ohio to get my fix. (aka going and picking up my 88). -Derek

Can't wait to see how it turns out Bill. With how slow my project has been going you'll probably be done before me and I started in Dec! techboy
no i believe that he has two fiji's. hahaa resto, a daily and now this car Yes, I believe that is the case. I believe the resto sits in the garage. The daily is the one that has all the rot problems.

BKB94
Glad someone is doing something with this car. I pulled that thing out of philly and was going to restore it myself, between the sun roof and front end damage i decided to sell instead. So I take it that when you owned it the front end was not repaired? And you mean you don't like sunroofs not that the sunroof is damaged right? BKB94
I bought it as a running car pretty much the way you see it. The guy owned a garage and someone brought the car in to get it running. I know where was alot of electrical issues and part of the reason the wiring harness was repaired. He installed a carb fuel pump just to see if the car ran and to help move it around. Owner never paid for the repairs and he got stuck with the car. Guy was a little bitter and after months of trying to sell it with no intrested buyers he started thinking about scrapping it (steel was very high). I tried for a month to get him to lower his price and offered him far more then he would get in scrap but no deal. Not wanting to see another quest die i paid full asking price and brought it home. Since my plan was to do a full resto it bothered me that the front end had damage, also i hate sunroofs. I never had intentions of running the stock motor so i pulled it and sold it to someone who needed a good motor. In the process of wating for parts i found a really nice quest without a sunroof and bought it and sold off the shell. Again i have a great running quest and i have no need for the motor. So if you want a strong built motor let me know.
