just got mine today absolutely beautiful. keychain opens beer great too. thanks tim now its time for adjustments. i need a bigger version of your keychain with two bottle openers on it and two tabs so it will bolt to the front of my valve cover. lets face it the hoods probably up more than it is down. hahaha

We made a small batch of hood strut kits that are the 2013 edition. Our latest edition has longer strut stroke for a few more inches of hood lift, more force, and more dampening at the end of stroke...

The NEW 2013 hood strut kit raises the hood almost 3" higher than using the OEM pogo stick:

Will these work with a fiberglass hood? I know that the previous version will. Thanks.

Yes it will. We made some struts with lower forces and shipped them out to customers, but we NEVER got any feedback if the force and dampening where ideal. Will it work? Yes. Is it perfectly smooth = who knows??

 

Worst case scenario, you would have to make sure the hood didn't raise up without your hand on it, otherwise the lift action may be a bit aggressive.
