techboy
I actually searched for this answer before posting, but after looking through 8 pages of results I didn't find much other than seats F/S ... Someone told me just last week 88/89 seat are not interchangeable with 87 seats b/c the brackets are different. Just curious as to whether that is true or not for my own knowledge. Blue
They swap just fine. Bolt right in. Slap whoever told you otherwise.
Burton
yeah, the whole seat assemblies swap in and out no problem. That being said, the sliders/bottom frame on the 87 seats might be a little different than 88/89 style, so you might not be able to swap the sliders/frame from 87 style to 88/89 style seats and vice versa, but as far as the 4 locations where the sliders/frames bolt to the floor, they are all the same on all the seats, from 83-89. techboy
That's what I thought ... which is exactly why I raised an eyebrow when that was said. That also explains why I couldn't anything about it after doing a search. Ok, well thanks. That confirms what I thought ... he doesn't know what he's talking about
strang3majik
I had a guy tell me that there is a factory switch boost controller above the glove box that raises the boost to like 20psi. I told him it doesn't exist but he swore it did. I told him, if there was one, the many people online would have found it by now, especially those who have restored their cars, and he just said that everyone online is a bunch of idiots and you can't believe anything you read. I love how people assume they know so much about these cars when they know nothing...haha.
