  3. how did the car run prior to the knocking? did u ever find out what the knocking is? Is the car still driveable?

Hey all, i'm looking for an mpi setup for my 87. plug n play though..i don't much about it and the difference in parts but i hear its way more reliable than the crap our cars come with i'm not a racer guy anymore,been there done that! i'm just looking to drive my car as much as possible and pretty much go anywhere i want..any info,tips or advice will b greatly appreciated. trying to keep the quest alive but it's getting hard..

  9. all lines have been checked and or replaced.i'm running out of patience.i'm sure u guys can understand my frustation
  10. would a bad dizzy cause my idle to be erratic and cause all that popping and poof noise from my exhaust? where can i get another dizzy?
  11. i'm running trilogy injectors,it did the same with the stock ones as well. the timing,i'm not sure where it's at,someone else did it for me so i idk if it's set before or after but he did tell me it's at 10tdc. i did not think that the cts would cause a problem but i will replace that tomorrow cause the one on there looks kinda f'd up. today driving home it really ran like crap!!! i mean really bad like bucking as if i was just learning how to drive manual type of bucking. i had to get off the expwy it was bucking so bad.It was snapping and popping way too much and too loud out the exhaust also..
  12. hey all once again i need ur help with some bucking studdering isuues. i have replaced the following: vac advance plugs and wires cap and rotor msd blaster coil injectors and clips removed 1g mas and bov put back stock setup reset tps/isc timing is 10 tdc when its cold it bucks a bit when i give it gas regardless wht gear i'm in. It is running way better than it use to but it still has an issue and i honestly do not know wht to do next.It is not leaking any fuel from injectors or tb. i have done alot of stuff to the car as far as trying to make it a daily driver but i'm stumped right now. plz help before i give up and get rid of it.
  13. hey i had/have the same issue.i replaced alot of stuff. but today about an hr ago i replaced the injector clips. Let me tell you,wht an unbelievable difference it made on my 87. i also removed my 1g mas setup and bov and hardpipes i had. i put everything back to stock(no bov) and it runs waaaayyyy better. not quite 100% but much better than before.. just my 2 cents.. good luck
