D_Venable
so Derek you dringin that ghetto blaster to Vegas man??? We will have a best flatty award to give out... Sorry guys, can't afford a big trip like that this year. If I could afford it, I'd be all over driving it down there. The next date I want to have the car done for is August 28th, the all mitsu cookout closeby here in Rogers, MN (20 minutes away) Last year 150 mitsu's, but only 3 SQ. There are up to 8 that "could" possible make it this year if all the locals come out. I'm gonna go out here shortly and hopefully finish up both tubs, this way I can finish the engine bay up, and drop the motor in within a week or so (7 weeks till the cookout) Then finish the floors, put the dash in, all the HVAC stuff back in (decided to install a/c back in, so I'll have the a/c delete duct up for sale soon) and I'm gonna change my projectors if someone wants to buy the TSX housings (switching to 60mm Hella halogens, much more budget friendly atm)

MainstreaM
FYI, the centerbore of that spare will have to opened up a little. It's to small to fit the Starion hub. I've got the five lug version. Kane
D_Venable
yep, I know, but the spacers I have are not hub centric so that's not a big issue atm they're what, 65mm or 66mm, where ours are 67.1mm
D_Venable
just about got the tubs done, some smoothing over is in process now http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7180509.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7180510.jpg

D_Venable
was reminded again what this car is (or isn't, lol) and am taking your advise (after a little jb weld had been applied) got the engine bay painted (except in front of the rad support) so it's now time to start putting things back into the engine bay, and hopefully get the motor dropped in this week/weekend. http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7190511.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7190512.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7190513.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7190514.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7190515.jpg
D_Venable
went back out and cleaned up the wiper motor, painted the motor gloss black, and the backing/mount plate white http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7190516.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7190518.jpg

D_Venable
picked up some stuff for the car today, pilot + TO bearings, cap rotor and vac advance, fuel filter(s), and a battery box I then got both master cylinders in the car, the fuel filter installed, and painted the brake reservoir and fuel filter brackets white http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7200523.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7200524.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7200526.jpg

D_Venable
just didn't feel like taping off or disassembling it, I'm getting lazy, haha
D_Venable
got the engine harness routed through the tunnel under the fender, remounted my horns a bit more stable and trimmed some off the end of the charge pipe to fit around them, and replaced the small hose on the heater core only to find after that the ends of the brass tubes that are bent out of shape (not by me, previous owners) that one of them has a crack in it. Then found out it takes about 50 psi to set off my horns, and it doesn't really seem quieter than at 100+ psi, hehe sorry, no pics (didn't feel anything worth them)
D_Venable
ok, didn't get the motor in yet, but I'm close, a few more things to tidy up and route, and I'll be ready to drop in the motor. I to a crack at fixing the heater core pipes (pun intended) I soldered over the crack in the one pipe, then wrapped it in some rubber tape I've got. Then I got it reinstalled. Then swapped over the relays I got from John (idriftjunk, Thanks Man) and mounted that board up, although slightly relocated due to the wheel tubs, and then painted the stock covers for it white as well. Then got the cruise control actuator cleaned up, the bracket painted, and installed as well. Also did some harness routing to help me figure out where everything goes back. http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7250527.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7250528.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7250529.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7250530.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7250531.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7250532.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7250533.jpg
D_Venable
got the washer flluid tank mounted and started routing the chassis harness that goes over the firewall inside the cowl, but need to extend some wires on it to reach. I'll do that tomorrow (was getting ate alive by mosquitoes) http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7260537.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7260538.jpg FYI, the front washer tank cap snaps on nicely to the rear washer tank's inlet as you can see in the photo. OH, and I've got this nice ride for the week too, hehe http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7260536.jpg
dmyers151
Nice "ride for the week". Do you really think it's gonna take the owner that long to realize it's missing?
D_Venable
Nice "ride for the week". Do you really think it's gonna take the owner that long to realize it's missing? the "owner" (aka Poarlis industries) knows I have it, it's to get some seat time on a Victory before we ride a bunch out to Sturgis in a few weeks. It's fricken FAST compared to my XT350
dmyers151
I bet, that's a big looking twin. Looks like a pretty comfy machine. Be careful too dude, while it is much faster than the XT, it's also probably 400+lbs heavier. Edited July 27, 2010 by dmyers151
D_Venable
yep, it's about twice as heavy, but for being as big as it is, it's surprisingly nimble. But yeah, I'm being careful, as it's about a 20k bike, that's not mine OH, and it's a 106ci 6-speed. Super comfortable cruiser Edited July 27, 2010 by D_Venable
