I'm thinking of fitting my flatty with 17" rims and need to know what the exact off-set is for the F/R wheels. Anyone have info on those dimensions?

if i remember right its 18mm just like the wide body fronts.  rear 8" 16s are -10mm and rear 9" 16s are 0mm.

The rims I'm looking at are 17"x 8" F, 17"x 9.5" R for Kumho VRacer V700: 225/45/17 F, 255/40/17 R. That's a lot of rubber for a flatty not sure if they'll fit? If that's too much rubber, I'll settle for 215/45/17 F, 245/40/17 R. I'm running 16 x 8s all around now with 225/40/16 F, 245/45/16 R,

you will need +12mm offset uf you're gonna run 9's on the rear. 8's will fit nice with +12 at the front aswell.

good luck finding +12 in those sizes though lol

I'm having custom billet rims made by Centerline. Already talked with them, they have 4 designs that will fit 4x114 lug pattern ranging from 15"-18" wheels. All I need are the exact offset dimensions and I'll be ordering soon.

I like the Thruster and then the Mojave, in that order, the Sahara is too round on the spoke design for our cars. Out of those 3, I'd get the Thruster

shameless plug for my flatty, too, now running a combined offset of -15mm (25mm spacers on the +10 offset rims) but had to add some camber to clear the fenders

Interesting, I see what you mean about the "Sahara", I was always leaning towards the "Mojave" but open for all the input I can get.
Thanks,

I like the thruster out of those three.

If I had the jack to put some rims on my 86 flatty, I think I'd try for the Rota RB 17x8.5 +4Posted Image

So far that's 2 for "Thrusters". As far as the "Rota", do they come in different widths? I'm looking at 9.5" for the rears and I can customize the offset with the Centerlines.

those Rotas can only be had in the 4 lug though (4x114.3)

pc85, is your car 4 or 5 lug?

Yep, the Thrusters!

I really like that Rota too. That would be sweet on a flatty!

I almost bought a set of Rota RB-R in 16x8, that was until I saw the Flashbacks that I have, which I don't think you can get in 16" anymore

but yeah, those RB or RB-R (different angle/bow to the spokes) in the 17's would look GOOD on a flatty
