boost gauge

If you flush mount them after enlarging the opening a little it looks better than just sliding them in from the front. If left out the clear lense hits them and might crack. You can just mount it to the back housing. Remove the gauges if you grind the bits will cause them to stick. Razor blade the circuit board and just move the strips out of the way. There's as many ways to do this as there are gauges. You can also use black felt to hide the crack from the back so that no light escapes from the rest of the gauges. Very simple with a rotary zip tool.

^ ok thanks that helps alot. do you guys recommend any brand. or colors that look good with the stock dash colors?

 

Autometer 2 1/16" Z series Boost/vacuum gauge. Summit carries them.Part no. ATM-2601.

Will this work for an 86' ? I'm in the process of swapping my turbo gauge but the circuitry looks different on the one you've done here. Any help would be great I'm stuck as is.
