Conquest project

New to the forum, Recently bought this '88 to fix up. Haven't done much to it yet. Steering box test?

Is there a way to test a steering box that is out of the car? I have a couple that I believe are good (I was told they were good when I got them). If there's a good way to check them out I would like to do so before offering them?
WTB door jam plastic tab things

Update on my car

Hello all. For those of you who know about my car drama at TSQ, Joe (4cylfury) just called to give me an update on what he saw when he looked at it (car's at his place now). It looks like it was a bolt on the timing chain guide that came loose and the chain rubbed against it, throwing metal shavings throughout the car. There is no rod knock and the car has pressure, so it didn't die from being run too hard. That said, shavings all in the oil is not good and it seems like a moot point So f
