HVAC display not working, controls work though. Help!
By Technology,
I will say first that I don't have the gauge cluster or hood connected, and the ecu isn't connected, I'm pretty darn sure that I connected everything under the dash after I (just) did the heater core. I did unplug the control panel of the HVAC to the computer part behind it, then re-connect. So will it work if the gauge cluster is unhooked, and might this just be a connection problem? there are no backlights and no side-lights in the display, but the buttons are lit. Thanks in advance.

When I started it up I noticed it would rev up, settle, rev up again, and finally settle at a good idle. I can rev it in neutral and it'll be steady. When I accelerate and cruise it could never be better. But
