I'm trying to get my coolant temp gauge to work in the dash. I followed the guide at: http://starquest.i-x...opic.php?t=1097 to identify the wire, yellow w/blue stripe in my case, that when grounded makes the dash gauge increase. I have a new temp sender, which is an AC Delco 213-2575 single pin sensor. My question is, now that I've got the wire identified, is there a way I can test the sensor and see a rise in the gauge with a cup of hot water or something before I fill the car up with coolant?

DROPPED PRICES...Flood damage, Returned from vacation to find flood had occurred. Sump pump failed. People that know NY Howard Beach area know that we are known for floods.
