The factory service manual shows the stamping of the rod and rod cap with the number on both the rod and the cap. What size stamps are you using? I was thinking to use 3/16 metal stamps from Young Brothers. http://www.youngbrosstampworks.com/using_stamps.html

My head dowels are really stuck in the block. What is the proper way to get them out without messing up the deck? I tried a little heat and channel locks but just deformed the dowels.   Thanks,   Tom
