I was just informed by my mechanic my hood cable broke i need one asap.. I have an 87 tsi btw.. Thank you please help

I am upgrading the fans for my starion and I need to confirm if the Radiador Fan and AC Fan blows the air to the engine or to the Radiator.. I think both are suppos to extract the hot air directed to the engine and the one in the front it is a pusher. Please confirm. I don't remember this. as I removed the factory ones long time ago.
