Here is how to fix that busted latch forever. Problem= lid wont stay latched or lid needs specail attention to lock down and latch.   Fist you need to remove the center console lid. 9 screws. 4 for the hing, 3 under the secondary compartment, and 2 at the left and right of the latch.
