If you want to back up all the data from your Ps3 to an external WD hard drive and get the error Connect starage media device to save destination.   The problem is not the drive, the newer external hard drives are USB 2 / 3. the ps3 cant detect those type of drives in some cases so the error above pops up.   The Easy fix, besides making sure the drive is fat32 formated even if that is necessary.   The fix is to get an old USB 2.0 hub not anything related to USB 3.0 will not work.   plug in the U
