I'll be driving my car, no problems, perfectly running, then suddenly, it will just die. I've tried the "crank and watch the tach", the needle bounces, so the knock box is fine, I've tested the coil, it sparks. The car will either not start, or start, run at 100 RPM, and die. Something I found strange: If I kick the fuel tank, the car will run. If I stop kicking it, the car will die. I feel like it's a fuel pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as my car is stuck at the Autozone currently

And finally joined. (Search Function has answered all my questions before I ever needed to ask). I have an 88 montero. Bought an 88 conquest for cheap. The interior was trashed. It was hit a few times. The head was leaking from one spark plug's threads. Too much work... so I'll be swaping it all into my truck. Pulled the head off the conquest motor and the cylinder walls are pitted from what must have been coolant sitting. The problems and fun begins...
