Ok as title says I replaced my old coil with a new MSD Blaster 2 to try to fix problem but no dice.it runs great while cold and sitting over night. But after it warms up the coil is so hot you cant touch it at all. Would this cause my dieing at idle?

Speedyquest and I were at it again! I was hoping to really be able to drive my car after two years of having it, but ran into a snag. I have a modified motor, that I purchased off the forums with Wiseco 8:1, shot peened rods, Clearwater head, o-ringed block, etc. We did a cold compression check and turned out with the numbers (back to front): 130, 120, 140, 135. I got a problem now, the car starts, it idles on the rougher side, I just feather the throttle to rev it slowly and it revs fine like that, I tap it and it blurps and doesn't rev much but climbs a bit, I go WOT from 1200 rpm steady and it doesn't climb at all and just blurps like its not combusting at all. Could this be fuel or ignition, I also let it idle in the pitch black and I didn't see a single arc from any wires

"Houston, We Have a Steering Coupler Problem..."

    By Guest,
So I got my arse and started wrenching on the '87 Quest. Had a sinking feeling when I began separating the steering gear box from the steering coupler. Wouldn't you know it, the coupler was toast and came out with gear box and all!!   Now I'm screwed. I may have one spare steering column off an '88. Not sure how good the coupler is on that one or if it's even on it. And to think of all those cars going to the crusher with couplers still attached! Now what?
