One of the moderators on the MSEFI.org instructed me to use a vacuum canister to stabilize the vacuum signal to the megasquirt ECU. I modified the stock vacuum canister to have 2 vacuum ports and now I am able to use 50% Map based AE and there is no tip-in hesitation any more. I have not heard of anyone doing this and I know that it has made my engine run much better. Also, I am using 4 squirts alternating per cycle instead of 2 like most members. i noticed under the car a bunch of oil on the tranny and the tranny was slipping. i figured it was the rear main seal. but the guy at the shop said he thought it was coming from the sending unit on the tranny. when i was driving the car home when it was in over drive, smoke started pouring out the back like i had blown a head gasket. wheni took it out of overdrive it stoped very weird. any ideas. i have another tranny at the hose that came with the car. how can ai tell if it is good?
