Need some help here. '87 Starion, I am original owner trying to stay on the road. 190K miles, daily driver. Mods: HKS cam & exhaust, new 2 valve head ( no jet valve), 650cc & 950cc injectors. Problem: drive for an hour, then after shutting down for 10 minutes or so, engine turns over but will not start or barely starts and runs for a 10 seconds or so. So I just finished a complete rebuild of my engine due to bad bearings, crankshaft, and camshaft. I let the car run for about 20 mins at 2000rpm to break in the cam. Anyways, tonight I was going to check the timing to make sure it was ok and then take it out and break it in a bit, but when I lowered the idle rpm to about 1100-1250, the engine started surging.
