Well You read CORRECTLY... I am working with the HIGH POSSIBILITY of making this a reality.   We all know that the StarQuest's 5th gear is ONLY 300 or 400 RPM less than 4th gear, making it rather useless for top end speed and for Fuel Efficiency.   So getting a taller 5th gear will increase the RPM gap between 4th and 5th WITHOUT AFFECTING the other gears or "In Town" Drivability. I have heard wonderful things about your alternators. A couple of questions tho- How many amps can you build them up to. I had a 200 amp alternator that I had custom built for my 96 grand am (before I totalled the car). Any way that will fit in a quest?
