73 Dodge won't run

After throwing everything I have at this truck, it still won't get gas. Since it's my first carb'd vehicle, I wanted to see if I'm missing anything. Truck is a '73 Dodge W200. 360 4-bbl. Dual tanks. The previous owner had wired in a Mr. Gasket electric pump before the mechanical as a lift pump. about a month ago, the electric pump died so I bypassed it and ran the truck on the mechanical. It ran fine for several months, then one day I ran it out of gas, and the mechanical died shortly after
