I had a chance to work on the front struts today and got a suprise when I opened them up. I read the tech manual and expected to drain out the old oil, install new O-rings, and refill with heavier weight suspension oil. When I finally got the top nut off the strut I was suprised to find a gas charged KYB insert. Is this a stock non-SHP strut? Or did the previous owner upgrade them at some point? Its a borg warner off of a chevy diesel truck, mileage unknown, needs rebuilt. I got it in a trade, don't need or want it sitting around.
