I was following a guide to reset my tps/isc because my '88 is idling around 1300. Got to step 4 and didn't notice any "zip" and the multimeter showed a constant 4.6 volts the few times I retried instead of the .9 volts it is supposed to show. Is there anything I can do besides go through looking for exposed wires that may be interfering?

I was wanting to see how difficult it is to replace the whole shaft with the knuckle, that's notorious for going bad. Mine has a half inch of steering play. I bought this a few years back. And this is how I received it.    

I've been having problems with my 83 starion that i believe may have something to do with fuel. Whenever i get on the gas quickly or even too hard the car begins backfiring and trying to die. ive recently changed out the fuel pump which seems to now allow me to rev higher before it begins to cut, i have also changed and cleaned out all the filters yet im still having the car sputter and cut out. I am beginning to think it may be faulty fuel injectors or the vac advance. Only problem is I cant se
