i pulled the motor in running condition out of my quest the bottom end has 120k on it has good oil pressure has new head on it maybe about 100 miles non jet valve turbo is good minimal shaft play and thrust play mad boost and held boost car idled perfect inejector seal was bad on secondary but other than that no issues also have 87 mas accel wires and coil 100 miles basicly a complete running motor and all parts and sensors i will break it up taking REASONABLE OFFERS parts are on LONG ISLAN

I will use this thread for pics of my swap. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me today but did make some good progress! Finally after having the block for 6 months! :roll:   Drilled the motor mount brackets to bolt up to the 4g64 block, used 3/4" steel 5x8 sheets (2) to make an adaptor to push the engine towards the front 2" and raise it up a little. Now the engine is bolted in solid. Wish I could've gotten some pics to show how they started out, right now they are still rectangle

So Ive begun to tear apart my conquest. And wow. I really didnt know it was this rough. If it werent blue, I would probably just sell it to someone else, but I have a thing for the blue ones :wink:. It looks like its been abused for most of its life, so Im sure i will have a bunch of little things to fix that I dont even know about yet. The motor and turbo are both locked up, and I dont think theres one bolt on this car that isnt rusted. The rear end has been leaking, so im not sure if its bad

I ordered the fancy sds with the coil packs and am wondering what you guys used to block off the hole for the distributor. I was thinking of cutting the bottom half off and welding a plate on top so it didn't look that bad, but if anybody has a better idea that would be great. And to make the factory gauges work I was planning on just running new wires from the stock sensors to the gauges, but does anybody know what wires comming out of the connector goto the temp, oil pressure, and tach?
