  13. the very best thing you can do is study everything there is to know about this car and learn how it is supposed to work. your problems and level and neglect on this car seems to be minimal. alot of times picking one of these cars up is to have to trailer it home from the seller. there is a lot of good information. start be checking your error codes if anyfromthe F.A.Q. sections, check your vac lines, check your turbo for shaft play. get some ideas of problems and go fromthere. chris
  14. well I find that I have to two cents worth on this subject. I think burton has put alot of time and effort into his ride and for that I give him two thumbs up. everyone has there right to speek there mind, but sometimes it better to keep ones opinion to ones self. what ever burtons role model was is of no importance, arlen ness doesn't have to have role models in order to desigh or build a bike. perhapse burton should have moved the string to the ineterior and body mods section, but still he did the work instead of taking it to the local bolt on retailer to buy buy every eyecandy piece avaiable out of the ads fron the sport inport tuner catalogs. we live in the worlds greatest country. it was not built on opinions or the freedom of speech but instead it was built on commitment to ideals, imagination and hard work. (blood, sweat and tears.) My two cents worth. Chris

  21. Â I am having to do some minot rust repair on my 87 quest and I am considering removing the ground effects that run from in front of the rear wheel to the rear of the front wheel. Â I have already cut the rear effects off. and removed the under door effects and I have to say it smooths out the lines of the car alot. Â Ihave the ability to modify the ground affects any way I want. Â so I am checking to see what you all think. I hope to be getting the picture up soon. Thanks Chris
  22. I have redone a few motorcycle gas tanks that have been dented and bondoed, and yes it is possible to remove the old material (bondo) with chemical strippers and a putty knife, but it would be very messy and time consuming. Everyone that owns and operates a business is doing it to make money, the shop you went to is know different. In my opinion they sound like they are doing you a favor. If you are really looking to have a great car for few years, that actually looks great, bondo is never the answer. bondo is a quick and easy way to cover up bad things. a little bondo alright to cover small dings, but too much will crack and break. I am sure that you can find a shop that would do a rebondo to the car, but it would only be temporary and you most likey would have the same thing you have now. they right way is seldom the quickest or easiest. thanks Chris
  23. Go to your local mits dealer and if he is a good dealer he will helpyou out, if he aint worth ____, he will iether tell you that parts aren't availlable for it, charge you way to much for what he can get you, or look at you like your an idiot because he never heared of one before. but the dealer is a fine source. Or post what you need in the parts wanted section and there are alot of good used parts available. chris
  24. Well I am sorry to say that it appears that not everyone here is ans honest and helpfull as marksweet and thetexan when it comes to doing business. Â I have given good feedback when I thought it was appropriate and now I have to give negetive feedback. Â I had sent puplepassion_86 money for an exhaust manifold, Â Emailed her to ensure she got it which she said she did. Â Made sure she got my address. and then she dissappeared. P.M.ed her and emailed here but no reply. Â If she cares to get in touch with me and talk to me about it, Â I will fill the rest of you in on any corrections to my posting that would be neccessary. I think others probably sent her money to her also. let me know how it went. thanks Chris
  25. I have also Dealt with JAinsworth, and had no problems and things went without any difficulty. Â He can be trusted and his word is good. thnks Chris
