  1. Drag racing a Starquest is like paying for sex. A complete and total waste of money. If you want to go fast, build a car thats less expensive to complete and goes faster. Ive done it with other cars. Why would I or any other Starquest owner want to gut their cars for a quarter mile run. Id rather keep it in one piece and drive it everyday. CALIBER 308
  2. Dont forget that the oil filter holds 1/2 quart, and the oil cooler holds 1/2 quart. So if you changed the oil without changing the filter and draining the oil cooler. You have 4 quarts of new oil mixed with one quart of old oil. CALIBER 308
  3. Someone eliminated the Secondary Air on the car. Id place a vacuum line connector in the hose then cap it.It will look cleaner than a Golf tee. CALIBER 308
  4. Heres a list of things you need to turn the boost up above 15 psi. 1. A turbocharger made to take it over time. 2. A way to read fuel pressure (a gauge off the injector holder housing is fine) 3. A adjustable aftermarket fuel pressure regulator to regulate fuel pressure. 4. A reliable Boost controller thats easy and accurate to adjust. 5. A blow off valve to relieve the backpressure on your turbo. 6. A aftermarket fuel pump, Walbro or the like. 7. A Wideband 0-2 gauge. 8. All new fuel filters, if you havent changed them in awhile. 9. A upgraded ECU (If its a 1987 or below). 10. Some means to adjust the Air/ Fuel ratios. I do it via the Maf-Translator. I may be missing something, if so, im sure others can fill in the gaps. CALIBER 308
  5. If you decide to just "walk away" from it, dont plan on buying anything on credit for 7 years. Thats how long a foreclosure stays on your credit report. Most landlords require a credit report on prospective renters, I did. If the report came back with a bad payment history or a foreclosure, id pass on them. Real Estate is cyclical. It usually turns every 3 to 5 years. My advice would be to stick it out. After all, you still have a roof over your head. CALIBER 308
  6. Intil you do the fuel mods, Id keep the boost under 14 psi. Why cant you adjust the boost down? CALIBER 308
  7. Another option is to rebuild your stock one. CALIBER 308
  8. What kind of A/F Gauge are you reading off of? Fuel Modifications? CALIBER 308
  9. John, www.hosetechniques.com lol. CALIBER 308
  10. Most suspension parts are still available. Another piece of advice, if you go with the Conquest get the Factory Service Manual. It has troubleshooting and pictures of all the major componets. P.S. www.starquestgarage.com has the FSM and parts catalog. Good Luck, CALIBER 308
  11. If you do the work on the car yourself, and you have the knowledge, its easy. Although, parts are hard to come by for the Conquest. The Talon would be the obvious choice. (And ive owned the same Starion for 18 years)LOL. Are you saying it has to do with emmissions, or something else. CALIBER 308
  12. Thanks, Nickkrmr. CALIBER 308
  13. Dont P.M. me anymore. That should solve it. CALIBER 308
  14. Its got your name and avatar attached to it. CALIBER 308
  15. I call it a vacuum line, but I stand corrected. The fuel pressure still doesnt increase at idle if you "give it the gas"lol, lol. CALIBER 308
  16. Just replace the high temp. with a low temp. Replace the one on the drivers side with this one:Part no. MB007639. No wire splicing nessesary. CALIBER 308
  17. The only problem is you and others who cant seem to let things go. And I do believe that you guys follow my posts, just look at whats been going on in the past six months!!!! Its a simple fix. You leave me alone, and ill leave you alone!!!!!!!!! CALIBER 308
  18. So you tell me, How am I suppose to react to a member, noob or not, that P.M.s me for advice and doesnt take it. MORE THAN ONCE!!!! I never told him to turn his fuel pressure up to 45. You should know better than to believe that. So he gets on here and lies about that one and I suppose you believe it.......... I give my opinion and you theaten to ban me, Well thats typical. No one can say anything except you or your cronies. Go back to all the posts you and your buddies have attacked me, theres plenty!!!!! Ive had my say. CALIBER 308
  19. Look here: Fuel Pressure problem by Nick 7. Post no. 13 by YOU!!!!!!!!! CALIBER 308
  20. The last time I looked under my hood there was a vacuum line going to the Fuel Pressure Regulator !!!!! Your not reading my posts correctly AGAIN!!!. Re read it!!!!! CALIBER 308
  21. After you!!!! To all the members out there. Just remember this, and I quote from Emagdnim: Make sure your "vacuum operated" fpr raises the fuel pressure gauge reading at idle when you give it the gas. If not, DONT DRIVE IT lol, lol, lol. Now, WHOS RETARDED!!!! CALIBER 308
