  3. optionsauto.com has NGK wires for 18 dollars. they don't have the NGK plugs, but they do have HKS plugs. you could always get the ngk's at an autoports store if you dont want the hks ones from online Graham
  4. i was just wondering because i wanna upgrade my fuel system first of all on my 88 tsi. it runs perfect, but i wanna set boost to 12 psi or so. im gettin hardipies and a hks ssqv bov. for fuel upgrades, thinking trilogy injectors, pressure regulator, high-flow fuel pump, and clean the tank and hoses, and get new filters. will this be good for 12-14 psi on a stock motor with 75k?? should i to upgrade the head with that amount of boost to like a marnal with JVE? Graham

  8. i would get the s16g. it will have less lag than the 18g, and the s16g is still good for high 300 horsepower. go with the s16g Graham
  9. i wonder how he will feel as an adult when he finds out you posted those pics of him on a car forum site. he'll probably think its ok once he realizes it was for starquests. get him into starquest's early, teach him everything you know. lol Graham
  10. do our cars have return or dead end style fuel system. Thanks, Graham
  11. just keep track of the miles, and tell them that if they drive it more than a mile, you have a lawyer and will press charges or something. thats what id say, just make sure they know you know the milage, and tell them not to drive it.
  12. i forgot to say, its a slightly bigger turbo. idk the size, not huge, 25 psi is gonna be the most for it, in the 300 range. motor can take 400, hes gonna get meth injection and perhaps bigger turbo and fuel support. Graham
  13. yea. my friend has one of the 2.3t motors out of his dad's old merkur xr4ti, in a 2dr ranger!! its cammed, wiseco forged pistons, injectors(not sure of size) all engine mounts powdercoated, race port and polish, stage 3 clutch, explorer dif, mustang tranny. he had it dyno'd before the forged internals (before it blew lol) and it made 260 whp on 18 psi. he is now gonna run 25 psi on the wisecos and be in the easy 300 range to the wheels. he has a superchips tuning chip, and dyno tuned at his works motorsport shop. oh, and he just bought 10.5 inch rear rims!!!!
  14. build motor, 17c, 89 eco is a good idea, as well as 88+ tranny. thats the ultimate street beast without mpi and going overboard. Graham
  15. how much are the softpipes worth? im buying hardpipes soon, i have the stock softpipes on my car. 75k original miles, i pulled the pipes yesterday, no oil in em and theyre clean. theyre still on the car, and i would only sell the upper (large c shaped) pipe and the OVCP. pm me if you want Graham

  17. ummmmmm. ok so i guess i should get rid of the Fram. are you just rhyming because my name has a lot of words that rhyme with it? and why should i drop the oil pan? Graham
  18. i think the bottom right looks pretty good. definately dont do the middle right with the curved light pattern. Graham
  19. anybody know if Purolator is any good? i got a brand new one in my closet, saving it for my next oil change. should i take it back and exchange it, or is it a good filter? i too have a fram on the car currently. Graham
  20. i wanna get straight 2.5, resonated, and a HKS Hi-Power on the back
  21. synthetic oils are almost always better, except for break-in period. go for it.
  22. great story fanta!! i too am a jr in high school, found out about starquests about 7 months ago, 3 months later i had one. had to sell everything i owned to get it, including my 2006 rm250 for 3200 bucks!! lol. im not you're average ricer kid tho thats gonna beat on my car, so i dont want all of you guys pissed at me, because i know you're guys views about a 17 year old having a quest. and i do everything on the car myself. just to let you know, the girls in my high school LOVE my car, its a chick magnet, Fiji TSi. just wait till the BOV comes in a few weeks Graham

  24. yea i thought about that, but if i adjust the pedal length/play then the clutch pedal will be uneven with the brake pedal. like the clutch pedal will be lower than the brake by a few inches. i kept it at stock position, and it didnt do it before i changes the master and slave, so i know im not doing something right.
  25. thanks a lot pickles, i really didnt know it was that easy. the vacuum line and fittings are probably available at pep-boys, aren't they? anyway thanks a lot, im gonna definately get the hardpiped in the next week, and then im just savin up for a HKS SSQV. should sound nice...... thanks again, Graham
