what, do these ECU's sell for cheaper? i saw on ebay that an 87 ecu goes for about 75-80 bucks, and i knew the 88 was a lot better, so i assumed it would go for more. but what is a fair price for an 88 ecu?

I have a 1988 Conquest TSi ECU. It came off my all stock 5 speed manual Fiji with only 75k miles, car ran perfectly. I can sell it for $100 shipped. I also have the seat belt control computer thing that I can sell separately. PM me if you're interested in any of these. Thanks, Graham

not sure if the wastegate can be taken off, i can check tomorrow. the problem is i cannot open the hood. and i cannot ship the seats because they are way to large. h thanks, Graham

Lester, everything under the hood is demolished. i cant even open the hood to get to anything, bha280, i cant really get to the axels, i have a broken leg, and the car is sitting on soft ground right now and i dont have a jack or anything. i can really only get to the easy stuff like interior pieces, etc. TAIL LIGHTS ARE NOW SOLD, THANKS Graham

i also have my 1988 Fiji TSI that i crashed & i'm parting it out. let me know if you need anything from it. it has severe front end damage (hit at BIG tree at 45-50 mph) but interior and electronics are good. thanks, Graham

i believe both rear quarters are dented badly from another tree. i will check tomorrow, and i may put up pictures to see if the rear quarters would still be salvageable. basically, everything on the outside of this car is demolished tho. just parts on the back of the car (like lights, hatch etc) are good. both doors are destroyed too. interior is great tho, and all electrics are good as well. i can also sell ecu, and i have an HKS Type 1 turbo timer that was in the car, which is MINT. I have complete set (front right, front left, rear right, rear left) of PowerSlot slotted brake rotors, they cost me over $300 for all 4. All of them are still brand new, and they are still sealed in the original package. These are good quality rotors, not like the cheap slotted and drilled ones on ebay. They are slotted, NOT drilled, so you don't need to worry about them cracking on you. Bought them for a 1988 TSi, before they arrived I crashed my car, so I have no need for them anymore. I will sell them for $285 including shipping, so you pay $285 and I take care of everything to get them to your doorstep (Shipping is VERY expensive on this). i have a 1988 fiji tsi for sale. i recently crashed and totaled it, so i am selling all the salvageable parts off it that anyone may want. it hit a tree right dead on at 45-50 mph, so all body parts and im guessing everything under the hood is junk. it had 75,000 original miles. black leather interior, most of interior is good (only broke center console i think). also can sell the tail lights, they are perfect, no damage or scratches, they dont fog up. rear hatch is good. wheels are good with Yokohama Avid V4 tires, about 6,000 miles on them(the driver side rear wheel has a little dent where the rubber meets the tire, so im sure it could be straightened, but not sure). ask me for what u need. i am in Hebron, CT, but i can ship (just not seats or rear hatch or anything). thanks, Graham

my dad was backing my car out of the garage and caught the mirror and cracked the plastic housing (mirror itself is fine). so how can i fix this? he recommends that i glue the cracks together and that will be fine, but i dont want my car to look like a piece of garbage all glues together, the rest of my car is perfect. its a 1988 fiji blue tsi. anyone have a spare mirror? or could i buy another one and have it painted? im not sure the what the best course of action is here, so someone help me out. i just really really wanna fix it. thanks, Graham

oh forgot to ask, is the only 88-89 difference the upgraded ECU in the 89? as far as i know, thats the only difference performance wise. not talking interior or anything. Graham

thanks for the reply guys. i thought all pre 88 had 4 lug, because when i was recently rotor shopping, i found that the rotors were either 83-87 or 88-89 so i assumed they were 4/5 lug respectively. thanks guys, Graham

someone on youtube said that his starquest is an 87 with 5 bolt wheels, and he said it came like that from the factory. is he full of bs? also, what country were the 1990 starions ever sold in? ive seen on wikipedia that it says there were 1990 starions, but i've never seen one. Graham
