  1. Aftershocks were very frequent the 3 months after the quake, now it happens rarely. Hope it stays that way.
  2. If you really want one, you can go there : http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=848 Buy one, and send it there : http://www.lhd-gtr.com/ And have a LHD R33 GTR shipped to the US. The conversion price is High, but it's done right by Nissan Techs. Mine was made locally in Santo Domingo, it's not bad at all, but, not as lean OEM fnished as the ones made by Elitech. Since I have a Starion, you would have to bring more for me to trade my Skyline. Maybe a new R35 GTR, or a 911 Turbo, or maybe a ZR1 Vette! lol Keep it Boostin'.
  3. Well, Since the Skyline is 4wd, it's like it's on rails. The car sticks, Boost comes up around 4500 rpm, all the way up to 8000, broad powerband, love the turbo kick when BOTH turbos kick in. What I like with the Skyline is the Point and Turn FUN factor. When you come in a curve, you just point and push on the pedal, great feeling, very slight understeer. The Starion, just love the Torque, when you push on the Pedal, and feel the Boost go up to 15 lbs, it's a great feeling too, and I Think the Starion should be used more in D1 Drift championship. Instead of that Ford Escort Ken Block drove in his Gymkhana GRID show, he should have drove a Starion! With the Torque, you can Kick the tail out whenever. The feeling of Driving a 23 years old car, that can whip any Civic Ricer's tail anytime he wants some, is a great feeling too. I had a guy race me with his B18C EG Civic, and when I pushed 3rd gear, can't forget his face when he saw me passing him by, he actually blew up his engine! lol. What's funny, he had said before the race, that never in his lifetime will an old 80's car beat his Civic with Type-R engine. Guess he shouldn't have mess with this Old Lady, when she goes she goes!
  4. Thanks Peeps! Good to know I can always come back to the Boards here and feel welcomed. I will keep you guys updated in the R33 build. Should get the car back from the shop in 2 weeks. Can't wait to take a pic with the Starion and the Skyline Together. Goal is 550 hp on pump gaz for the R33. Got Boost?
  5. I am OK, so is the Familia. The Starion is also up and running, nothing fell on it! It's been a tough year here, but, we all believe it will get better (hopefully), as Haiti is a very poor country, with very resilient people. Thanks BRazilBoy for looking out! I haven't been here a lot, since, I've been working on a new project car, a Nissan Skyline R33 GTR V-Spec LHD (Converted to LHD in Santo Domingo). Going all out in the build. Once it's done, I will passby here to show you guys GODZILLA. Even if I am working on that new project, there's nothing like driving the Starion. Just this morning went for a ride, love the torque and the sliding when the rear gets loose. Keep it Boostin'. Got BOOST? StarionPAP Haiti P.S : Pics of the GTR http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/133078-r33-gtr-v-spec-lhd-haiti.html
  6. Hi, Thanks for the comment! The car is middly modded, check my posts for the full write up on the mods. 14G turbo @ 15 psi, makes it run pretty fast for the streets here in Haiti. Got the only 1 in Haiti, also have an R33 GTR V-Spec Skyline. Both cars are unique here. If ever you come to Haiti, just PM me. I'll show them to you. Best regards.
  7. Check this out : http://vimeo.com/1716446 Fast flatty! StarionPAP Haiti
  8. Me 2 I was thinkin' the same thing, I think if you still have the heat shield for the turbo that covers it, and keep that aluminium piece, you should be ok. Well, any expert input??? StarionPAP Haiti
  9. Here's a link of the Starion Rallye car on Speedhunters : http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/07/21...rion-rally.aspx Wish they had more Starions on that website!! StarionPAP Haiti
  10. Yes, it does it @ 3-4K, but all the way up the RPM range after that. My fuel pressure is good, 40 PSI (got a RRFPR). Got a 1st Gen MAS. I can check it out, but, I got the MAS, with the Hardpipe, with K&N Filter. Any other suggestions???? StarionPAP Haiti
  11. Guys, I changed the Vac Advance, changed the TPS, cleaned the Main ground # 11, cleaned the fusible links, new clips, new Injectors from Prof. Quest. The car pulls strong all the way to 15 psi, no problem, when the car is COLD. When it gets to temperature, I hear the fuel pump making a lot of noise (it's a Bosch, external). Could it be that the fuel pump is bad??? When the car is cold (not yet to operating temp), the narrow band gives me 2 bars Rich, even @ 15 psi of boost. When the car gets to operating temp., I'm not running rich anymore, but in the Stoich range, close to lean. I've changed all the fuel filters already with new ones (even the in-tank one), gutted the stock FPR, installed a aeromotive Rising rate fuel pressure regulator. What could it be? I'm using high octane gaz (95 octane mixed with a little Av Gas 100 octane). That stutter @ 3 to 4K is really annoying. Any help would be appreciated!!!! StarionPAP Haiti
  12. We stayed neck and neck all the way to 3rd gear. He checked his engine's compression, and all is good. I guess I was lucky that time. But, yes, I drove the RX7, it is VERY fast, those rotaries can scare you with just that noise it makes out the exhaust. He can beat me, but he'll have to bring up the boost a little. It was nice to see that I could keep up with him. He's got the stock turbos on, but I think his primary turbo is starting to fail. Lucky U to have a Starquest and a 3rd gen RX7. 2 Cars I love. I got the race on video, I'll try to post it up. StarionPAP Haiti
  13. Got a good friend of mine with a 3rd Gen RX7 TT, with 3" exhaust, racing computer, Intake, Flywheel, Competition clutch, Intercooler, hardpipes, the usual nice bolt-ons. He was boostin' @ stock boost (6 psi). We started from a rolling 1st gear. Neck and neck on 1st gear, I changed to second before him, the Starion (which I call Jacky!) pulled hard all the way to 15 psi widening the gap, by 3rd gear, jacky was half a car's lenght in front! My friend was very happy and impressed, since we've been trying to get Jacky to move it move it! Now, she is feeling better. I know that if my friend was boostin' 12 psi on that RX7, he would have beaten me, but, still, it was a fun ride. Keep you all posted on the next kill. Got Boost? StarionPAP Haiti
  14. Oops! Sorry, wrong forum. Won't happen again. StarionPAP Haiti
  15. I checked my Vac advance, it's not keeping vaccum. Will need to change it. I got exposed copper at the TPS, will need to change that too. Hope after that, she holds boost all the way to WOT.
  16. I'm having problems. I have changed my injectors, injector clips, fuel pump, fuel filters (all of them), fuel line, etc... See my signature for mods. The car pulls fine when I just started it, pulls all the way to redline, keeps boost up, but once the car gets hot (operating temperature), I get a stutter, hesitation @ around 4000 rpm. I know it good be bad quality fuel, but I put premium, and even add octane boost. I checked my Vac advance and it is working fine. Could it be the TPS?? Any helps would be appreciated. 17. Me 2, I would go with the Lexus with the Swap. Got Boost?!?!? StarionPAP Haiti
  18. Try here, they are on special : http://www.ongreenperformance.com/ Hope this helps. StarionPAP Haiti
  19. I like the GS300. Easier to get power, easier to get parts, better milleage, and known Toyota reliability (unless you boost the hell out of it!). Check this out on you Tube : SC's Gone wild (I know the SC is the Coupe model, but same engine used!) StarionPAP Haiti
  20. Will this work with a regular OVCP? I have a *DM OVCP and hard pipes, just wanted to know if it will hook up directly. Will it run only with the MS? Can it run with any other EMS?
  21. First off, maybe it would be good to change your 02 sensor, it may be bad from all those years. Change all your fuel filters, check the fuel pump ground, and maybe a good thing would be to change your fuel injectors if they are leaking. Install a fuel pressure gauge (must be reading around 38-40 psi). If your puffing black smoke, then your running on the rich side, but maybe your 02 sensor is giving out a bad reading to your A/F meter. Hope this helps. StarionPAP Haiti
  22. Hey Chip, Check these Off road light out : Lightforce. I got a set of 9 inches on my Ford Truck, solid, lexan casing, very light. Maybe you could put a set of 4 on that rack, would look mean! www.off-roadlights.com . StarionPAP Haiti
