I got this from my neighbors dad. He was the og owner supp. Well he got some fuel saver device added to it and it wasnt fused and shorted out and smoldered just short of catching fire. It got really hot melted the battery and distributer beyond even a rebuild probably. The fire dept hosed it off and it sat for a year before I bought it for $180. Plus a few extra wheels and turbo. I got a 86 flatty that i used a bunch of parts to get it running. Once running decent(the TB wiring harness was completely melted)I started stripping it for paint. The soot? was so thick it had to ALL be sanded off.

I am gonna do red wrinkle in the engine bay and keep it the factory red. I ground out a few brackets as well doing wire tuck and keeping it clean. I own my own 12volt stereo-wiring-custom audio business so keeping it clean will help sell my abilities

I tried makin the pics smaller butstill said too big?

Here is the latest. Starting to nickle and dime me of coarse.

I hope the fuel gauge is considered "outside" the car LOL

The turbo I got from the guy in portland with the black flatty. He said it is a upgrade for this car and thats what blew his with a bad wastegate line. It is a direct bolt on Volvo turbo from a diesel if I remember the numbers right. (its all I got). My stocker was rubbing the fan blades on the compressor housing making a loud squealing sound and toasting the fans outside edges. Built in recirc valve, crazy. Looks like it can be squished like the dsm if neccessary.

What do you guys think?

I got the brake lines hiding down below and half the powersteering lines ran below the radiator. They look like poo on the firewall. Hopefully a few more goodies coming soon.

Here is a shot of the hood. I have some mesh going under the cutout for support. Think that will help exit some heat?

Thats some evo9 gauges with mitsu emblems and bar reading. They are going in the climate control spot and controls will be below stereo. Wideband plx300 with red digital disply will go in the clock spot. Wires already lenghtened and clock modified. of coarse MSD goodies. I was thinking timing control but not sure yet. More toys and tricks coming.

BTW has anyone tried the steering wheel remote with a aftermarket stereo with the pac converter?

Wish list

sensor that goes in ohvp stock

hardpipes stock size

turbo that has mitsu not volvo written on it.

injector clips

exhaust flange

Here is a few updated pics. The coil and MSD will be bolted down soon and the hardpipes. Still the volvo turbo, lol.

The gauges are from a evo MR 9. The wideband is a PLX 300 digital in the factory clock spot. You can barely see it.

There is only one kind of spray on red wrinkle paint. The black and red are made by the same manufacturer. Its made by VHT and its high heat since they know most people shoot thier valve covers with it. I like it because if you have chipped or peeling paint it will cover it with no issues. Still gotta prep it right, thats what painting is all about.....the prep work.
