Starcon88
So your telling me that if I want an accurate air/fuel guage I have to buy that. SUCK Kurt
Boosted_One
Yup you need a decent WB set up if you want to tune correctly. Anything else is just a light show.. You would be shocked to see the difference my WB unit sees the A/F ratio vs a narrow band. It's that much of a difference, trust me.
Joel
I use that WB Meter they are selling. You don't have to purchase that from EIP. www.tuneyourengine.com I've had no problems using it, although I doubt it'll report lab grade results like a horriba. It may or may not be accurate to .01AFR, but most home tuners/hobbyists will get along perfectly fine with that unit. Joel
heefner
Joel I was hopping someone would chime in with that sort of info. It seems that most things that EIP sells that are not specifically for a VW is an off the shelf item from someone else with a mark-up.
artinist
ya, i posted that earlier also. they are just resaling the one made by: http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/ their price is good, and thats a damn good unit.
Superfro
does that unit go in between the downpipe and car? or do i have to make a new hole to plug in that o2 sensor? cause if i run 2 o2 sensors, that would be the suck.
Joel
The Bosch O2s like what most of these run (I.e The Innovative LM1) The sensor MUST be at least 18" back. I would suggest a little farther then that. Stock location would be a BAD idea. Joel
importwarrior
that is the one i want. they are from http://www.innovatemotorsports.com it records 02 at rpm then spits it out on the the laptop in a graph like below. probably the best tool for tunning with an S-AFC type device. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/images/Log_Capture_Small.jpg http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/images/...pture_Small.jpg http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/screen_grab.html http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/press/LM-1_Graph.jpg

Chad
I have the PLX WB (PLXdevices.com), they have just come out with some new models, but I have the one that was just replaced. It is only $300 with sensor, and for anoter $35 you can get the adapter that allows you to view the WB linear A/F on any aftermarket NB analog gague. they also have datalogging outputs and NB outputs. I have the analog Halmeter A/F 30 gage hooked up to it, it's nice to have an alalog gage to view out of the corner of the eye while driving at WOT, sucks to read a 4 digit number and make sense of it while driving like that, not to mention unsafe.
