redv8kilr
What would cause my power steering fluid to be forced back out of the top of the reservoir? It just gushes out from under the cap and I obviously have no power steering. I've never seen a car do this before. What do I need to fix or replace now? JAinsworth
I would assume you are using AT fluid and not PS fluid in the power steering system? Power steering fluid will cause that issue. Jimmy

Shelby
this is because air is being suck'd into the hoses or pump assy,, in other words you have a leak,, the gear box and lines are higher then the pump so air will stay trap'd at the highest point , when you start the engine fluid forces the air to the pump where it gets compress'd and blows fluid out when it trying to get out it's self
redv8kilr
So I guess that means I need to find the leak, right? And make sure I have the right kind of fluid in there, correct?
Fanta
that, and you don't have a turbo oil feed line near the reservoir like in my case...
