Complete drag racing set-up

If you converted it to an equal length parallel link suspension that used dual a-arms rather than the strut design, the camber wouldn't change at all as the suspension cycles.

Also, you could use coil overs from another car thats readily available... while using some really stiff coil overs to help the squat.

I'm new to the suspension world though, still learning.

If you use really stiff coil overs the car doesn't squat and you don't get the weight transfer.

Dual a-arms would be fine but it doesn't appear to be dual a-arms in that pic. That would also call for modified spindles which at some point will out weigh the cost of replacing the stock setup with a 4 link and beefed up 8.8 rear.

Can you find a pic of a set-up like that?

A picture of a physical assembly? Not easily. It's not a common setup because it really ruins the car's ability to grip in the corners (tires go to positive camber as the body rolls).

I can draw you a little sketch in MS paint though. :)

Sam, it might be feasible to make an adapter that mounts in the opening for the stock rear strut, then have a link that is the same length from the diff to hub carrier as the stock "L-arm"

Then the only real fabrication needed is for an upper mount for the new link around the diff

thats the wide wide body quest isnt it.

here is a drawing of what looks to be equal length a arm front for you, but they arent parallel.

yeah (for general info in this thread) a panhard bar is what locates the axle left and right when you arent running leaf springs, coils dont tend to do much for positioning:) I cant see any reason or way to use a panhard setup on a quest unless you go solid axle with coils. like the car posted above with the 4 link.

the panhard is the cross link between the passenger side of the axle and the drivers side of the 4 link attachment point.

Frank bills car is a stock rear end, 4.22 gears with drive shaft shop axles.

Do you know Bill personally? He's buddies with one of my old roomates from College (whom now lives in KY). He had a little cook out/mitsu meet last year and bill came by and drank some cold ones with us for a few hours after the majority of the randoms left, hes a cool guy!
