YELLOWHELL
Yes I like this thread also. I have a feeling you'll be seeing a thread from me about a TT350 or a 440 into a quest within the year.
Star_V8_Quest
440, I think, wouldn't fit unless you did some major engine bay re-construction. About time this place had an engine swap section.I am interested in the 4g63 swap myself

TheMonkeyProject
One of the muscle car mags did a 440 swap, if someone wants to try to find the back issues, they called the car "conquistador" i believe it was Mopar Muscle.
YELLOWHELL
Pdodson has a printout of that 440 mag. I actually contacted the guy on ebay about the 440 swapped quest he was selling. I asked him so many questions he replied with his phone number and "too many questions just call me." I wouldn't put a 6pack on anything. once those carbs start having trouble it's too hard to get them back in tune. When I do finally build a TT350 it will absolutely be fuel injected. I even considered boosting the 440 I have and converting it to Fuel injection. I would just like a 9 second car that's extremely streetable. 8)

damonwilliams
Fellows, Is this 4g6 swap plug and play with the stock 5 speed transmission? I have a 87 quest with what may be a cracked head - water flows from exhaust side of engine  - and may have access to a motor. Looking for one that is plug and play. smog
there are a few things. firewall usually neeeds to be banged out a little around the rear thermo hoiusing, and the manifold needs to be modded like a magna, basically the rest is wiring and plug in play I believe. MainstreaM
4g64 wideblock truck motor only!!!!You'll run into the most problems with rebuilding the motor to handle boost. $$$$$ Kane
Turborusty
booyeah swap forum! Glad I made a big stink seen a 360 swap, but not a 340 Would be an identicle swap. The only difference is the 360 is externally balanced and the 340 isn't. So the 360 has a harmonic balancer in the pulley. Otherwise they are identicle externally. Brett could theoretically pull his 360 and drop the 340 righ tin it's place. But I'd like to see him put an injected Magnum 360 in it. damonwilliams
What engine swap options are there that fit the stock 87 5 speed tranny? Something that does not require body mods. I know the D50, but anything else?
