Imagine a place where you could post what you want, and say what you want, hmmm... Maybe make it "Members Only" and SS# verified, that'd keep the riff-raff out doncha' think? I guess ryddler is one of those fellas that likes to tinker with stuff and figure things out for himself, as opposed to using someone else's finished product. I realize it isn't totally about porn, but pretty damn close - a virtual free-for-all - total anarchy. : If you want to post nudie pics, do it somewhere else - I have spent the better part of my life addicted to porn and I don't enjoy being tempted to look at that crap or anything closely resembling it. Out of curiosity... how much would you be willing to pay for an exclusive board where people can say/do whatever? People would have to provide enough (accurate) personal information for us to verify a person's age... one being a credit card number - which would be used for the monthly/annual fee. The short answer is that there isn't anything canned out there that does everything we need the site to do. The long answer is that Yabb is very poorly written, and has some serious issues with dropping posts, bottlenecks, and maintenance nightmares. I don't want to throw away all the posts we already have accumulated here, so I'm writing my own code to import the existing posts and basically duplicate the look and feel (with some serious modifications). The only other alternative would be to go with the PHP version of Yabb that will also import the existing posts, but I would have to rewrite all the modifications that I've hacked into this code in order for it to work properly, and that's not going to happen because I refuse to run PHP on a production server because of security concerns. When it's all said and done, we'll have a faster site, more customized functionality, and user selectable site color schemes, just to name a few things. (sorry, couldn't resist) ;D Seriously, I'd pay the same $50 a year to have the same things I get on my S2K board, which include but are not limited to; free speech ;D, 2 email accounts, and unlimited/linkable personal photo storage.
